He's probably the best out and is virtually unknown. Its imperative that he puts an album out soon. Apparently, him and dilla did a project together but it hasn't seen the light of day for whatever reason.

soon? dude should've been dropped an album. im not sure what the hold up is. it's one of those situations where an artist is so talented, its frustrating as a fan they aren't releasing material. i expect good things. he has access to great production.

Man, he needs to make a move or SOMETHING

True story...I always hear people hyping him up, yet I rarely hear any new solo material from him...not a freestyle, interview...nothing. Matter of fact, I haven't heard anything from Slum Village lately neither.

Soon as lupe burst thru the door, and rhymefest, that shoulda been the greenlight for niccas like ras kass, elzhi, pharoahe monch and others to drop some concept raps and do the Lupe/Common angle.

Elzhi and Phonte(whoever has that song with Lupe) are fukkin talented.
Actually the whole Justus League is insane.
But Chino XL is still the sh!t off "I Told You So" in 01, that album was everything Canibus and Ras Kass will never be.

Sh1ts ridiculous. NO, he is NOT better than 99% of the rappers out there. I could name 300 rappers of the top of my head better than him. He is obviously missing alot otherwise he would be A) mentioned alot more, B) blew up C) have major hits or D) listened to.

I've made several attempts to get into his music, but he just doesn't have it to keep my attention. He's an okay lyricist, but I've heard plenty better, nothing about his flow or delivery is "bad", but not exceptional. And his music/songs are all forgettable.

I'm not here to try and argue him being better than whoever, but I think it's pretty safe to say the bolded is somewhat false.

The one thing about Elzhi that really stands out per se is his delivery and flow... He has one of the best rhyme patterns in the game... He's leagues ahead of most cats in terms of multi-structuring... Maybe you just can't remember what he sounds like, but if Elzhi isn't exceptional in those departments, I don't know who is..

Listen to this (http://www.zshare.net/audio/2080199f11b299/) one more time to understand why I dispute that claim..

He has multis, but that's basically a pre-requisite to rapping right now. If you don't have it, you might as well quit. I will give him that he seems to have a grasp of it.

His delivery is very unspectacular. His flow, again is solid/respectable, but not . For example, I'm not a fan of Royce that much, but his flow is crazy. Elzhi's flow is "Cool".

Nice song, btw.

Listen, anyone who pays attention here knows I'm far from an Eminem fan, think he's overrated as fuuck. However, his flow is still incredible when he tries, regardless of his weak lyrics nowadays.

And are you seriously saying Elzhi has a better flow and delivery then these legends? Are you joking? He couldn't touch Monch or Meth's flow (for example) in a million years. You can't be serious.

I'm not here to compare... but the proof is in the pudding (http://www.divshare.com/download/2746495-eb7)

All that "A is better than B" is some infantile **** I don't even engage myself in... But I'll tell you this, there is absolutely NO way you can listen to dude and say his flow isn't spectacular... And then gush out artists like Sai.. and Em who is particularly downright horrible at this point in pretty much every aspect. All these names don't faze me... If they're clearly better, I'll admit. They simply aren't.

Desire was pretty good, though... I just thought he coulda created something much better given the TIME he'd been working on it.

Internal Affairs is a masterpiece in ways I can't even describe.

With the amount of time he had to make that album, it was a HUGE let down.

Basically it was very forgettable. . . . I can't even be bothered to listen to it again after several listens.

I'm like duke's biggest fan, but his career and his output is frustrating as hell. Dude's been in the game for too long to have as limited a discography as he does. Why is it so hard for him to do a "Bar Exam" type joint and put a mixtape out to get his name bigger? Flow over some classic beats, throw in a few throwaways beats from Black Milk, Nick Speed, Young RJ(their throwaways will probably son most other producers' ****) and put that **** out there. How can T3(I admit, he's improved) come out with a solo/mixtape album like The Olio, yet El hasn't really put out much of anything since the last Slum Village album except a couple guest appearances here and there. Dudes like Bishop and Sean Price can link up with Black Milk for collabo albums, but dude is one of your main producers, in your own backyard, and you can't link up and drop something real quick? While Witness My Growth was dope, alot of it was older joints and doesn't really showcase his current skills because he's refined his flow alot since then.

yea that's his webmaster/promoter Mosologist, dude's been saying for about 3 years that the album was coming "soon". hopefully the early 08 projection sticks, its been done, they've just been trying to find the right label to drop it on. i'm hoping he drops some sort of mixtape/street album before the official release.
