think about it for a second
we all know how much Jay Z was obsessed with The Firm back in the day.... he wanted to be down.. but nobody ever threw him a bone (except for Foxy.... Jay Z looks "Firmed out" in her "I'll be" video )
N1gga sampled Nas and got AZ to be in his video... he wanted Nas to spit the 2nd verse on "Can I live" but he never showed up... so he got mad and banged Carmen to get back at his idol for not paying attention to him.
He finally got Nas on his album and in his video... the cycle is finally complete and he can die a happy man....

I'd say the whole commission thing was more Jay living out his "firm fantasies."

Trust me... nobody wants to live out The Firm. The people involved with that album don't even like to acknowledge its existence, why would someone else?

 OK...
Nah, I'm actually old enough to recall all this sh*t y'all niqqas try to dig up and give late credit to. As I said, that Firm album was wack, and even the people involved don't like to talk about it. Only in this internet message board age have I seen it regarded as anything more.
Why would someone wanna revisit that?

Your opinion is ilrelevant b... Foxy and Mega showed up at Nas's concert lastyear and did "Afirmitive action" AZ wasn't there but hes stated that he wanted the Firm to get back together..but yeah.. you're right the people involved don't want to talk about it/revisit, huh?...
Foxy herself said that JAY Z wanted to be in the firm....
So you're saying Foxy is a liar??....
Roc Boys video is evidence of it
Again.. the whole Firm idea was amazing.....theme, talent, Dr Dre..
Every freestyle each member spit from that era repping the click was fire... everyone was amped because the lyrics and talent was definetly there... But the album just wasn't executed properly. So the actual Firm WASN'T WACK... the album just wasn't as good as it should have been.

"Nas and AZ was supposed to be on 'Bring It On,' they kept not showing up," Dash recalled. "That's when we wanted to put out the Firm. They didn't show up. We was meeting and they was saying, 'Yeah,' but they wasn't showing up. We would be waiting and we would be getting offended. So we brought Sauce [Money] and [Big] Jaz on the song."

The fact that Jay thought the Firm was equivalent to a nice rack says ALOT about the way he felt about them....
This is the closest Jay ever got to being in the Firm

That's all fine and good... but tell me this- WHO outta Nas, Nature, AZ, Foxy, Trackmasters, Dre, Nore, Half-a-MIL, Wizard, Steve Stoute, ANYBODY was reppin' the Firm after that album dropped? Niqqas split ways like the sh*t never even happened. I agree that the actual Firm wasn't wack... but the Firm project was.
