All this American Gangster is a classic talk has got me thinking....
These Jigga albums you guys hype up .... They may be classics in the modern era where good quailty hiphop is a rare thing.. but come on!!!!
The 2 Outkast albums are proper classics....
Return of The G - name a Jay song better............
Jay's catalogue is not that great...
Away from BP and RD.. he has loads of filler.. 2 albums with R Kelly... an album with Lincoln Park, a few average compilations.
ahhhh loads of it is bland. Same subject, different day.

There will never be another ATLiens. There's about 20 "Blueprints" a year. And that's not because its better. It is because it is easier to duplicate.

I love both those albums, as well as Southernplayalistic... sh1t is all classic no question.
I'd say Blueprint and Reasonable Doubt are top 10 or 20 to me, as are ATLiens and Aquemini. All 4 are personal favorites, so I gotta say they are pretty comparable.

Its not that he is overated. Dude is top 5 of all time based on hiphop quotables. - Could create an unbelievable greatest hits cd..
BUT.. truth be told his beat selection, subject matter etc etc they aint always that great.

Never really cared for atlIENS. Lyrically it was cool but the beats didnt really doit. BUT Aquemini is Classic in every since of the word. So much dopeness goin on in that album.

Me personally, Elevators fucced up ATLiens for me cause that tracc set the bar WAAAAY High. I played that single bacc to bacc to bacc, even the instramental. Then when i got the Cd it was just .......not on the level as Elevators. (except 2 dOPE bOYS iN a cADILLAC)

Thats not outrageous but when you say Cube's first 3 are you talking about Amerikkka's Most Wanted, Kill At Will EP, and Death Certificate or are you excluding the Kill At Will EP and including Predator? If the latter then hell nah

Only because Aquemini was more critically acclaimed because they slept on ATLiens and had to make up for it. Aquemini getting 5 mics is like Denzel finally getting an Oscar for a less than perfect movie after being ignored on a few perfect ones.

Please dont play the locality card. Trust me I was the biggest West Coast fan back in the Mac mall/Spice 1 and militant Ice Cube days but when it comes down to it I'd rather listen to Kast's first 3 than Cube's(The Predator is the weakest album out of the 6)

Jay-Z has never made an album better than ATLiens. Bu Reasonable Dount is pretty much on par with it.
