Its not about good beats. Its consistent beats to generate a sound instead of going 99% on lyrics.
I think Nas had good beats on I Am, Stillmatic, and Lost Tapes.

For the most part yeah, but I Am had some trash beats for sure.
I like the sh1t he does with Salaam and Chucky Thompson, he should keep them on the team. He should also keep fucckin with Kanyeez, both the joints from HHID and "Poppa Was a Playa" are crazy to me. He picked the wrong sh1t from Dre, who doesn't fit his style well and him and Storch sounded TERRIBLE together.
I c/s that he'd sound good over more of those No ID or Hitmen beats, but what he should really do is bring back Large Pro and Preemo...

A.G. is already overrated and it came out today smh.

a few good produced tracks ...mostly overrated.
Jays flow was incredible but some of the beats kept his lyrics from
matching that excellence.
for example: "U Dont KNow" ...that beat knocks, and his flow is ill.
Content wise though.....wacccckkkk ....."1 million, 2million, 3 million more..."
 fucckk outta here

i skimmed through ag and most of the beats were just as boring as anything off streets disciple or hiphop is dead. blueprint is easily the best produced out of any of those albums. maybe my opinion will change once i listen to ag all the way through, but i highly doubt it...
some 1 up a.g album . i hear every1 talkin bout this
