No Lie, i was listening to this album in my car, and it still sounds as fresh as anything out now. Warren G was what to the Chronic & Doggystyle what Scott Storch and Melman were to 2001. If it wasnt so short, and If he didnt eff up and say whats NXET, maybe i could say overrall it was just as good

"Regulate"
"Do You See"
"Recognize"
"So Many Ways"
"Super Soul Sis"
"This DJ"
"This is the Shack"
"Whats Next"
ect.

Is that right? Because it got smashed by reviewers and flopped so bad i never really gave that album a chance, should i re-download?

Warren G was an uncredited ghost-producer on the Chronic and Doggystyle.. that's why he ended up leaving..

and thats why he spoke up about it in the source, and thus the suge knight squad breaking into his apartment pistolwhipping and gave him a beat down and told him to "watch his mouth"

I don't know if I can say it's better than those two, but it's definitely on the same level. Warren was a monster on them beats.

never did hear Return of The Regulator, though

yeah:yes:

Those albums only had previous existing music anyway. Nearly all the beats were from other songs
Sampling is o.k but at least had a good beat. All that fa**ot dre did is take beats from songs and put them on funk basslines.

DAZ and warren did a few beats. DAZ was even credited for 1 track on the chronic

Another reason I dont see how people can call Dre a legend so quickly off his work...he equal to puffy..he should only truly be acknowledged for who he put on.

dre definitely sampled heavily, but if the end result is a dope ass beat, why would u care ?

Underrated Album, it's up there with both of them to me.'

Production I like Chronic, Regulate, then Doggystyle as time has passed.

No way...how you gonna say the production is better when all his influence came from those albums and Dr Dre?

Regulators is not a better beat then Aint Nuthin But A G Thang. I can name a lot of beats better then This DJ. Not to take away from Warren's album, I love to listen to it still but its not equal to Chronic or Doggystyle.

The album is mad underrated though. Not only is it a dope album, it saved Def Jam. This and Balance and Options. I forgot a lot of people on this site never listen to this album or talk about em.

Great record. Close, but no cigar. Those records are top 10 all-time(outside of New York). Regulate's definitely a classic, but why is Dre's status constantly in question???

The most successful people who've supposedly produced from him have only made 1 maybe 2 classic albums, at most.

Where's Daz, Warren, Scott Storch, and all those other motherf*cker's "Straight Outta Compton", "*****z4Life", "The Chronic", "Doggystyle", and "2001"????

Scott Storch makes the most watered down beats in the business. It's lame pop. I'd rather have Polow Da Don give me one of his Fergie or Nicole Scherzinger reject beats, then let Storch give me a track. Warren G's and Daz have both been off of most of the world's radar since Death Row died.
