This bothers me about the song everytime I hear it
they couldnt EQ it out of the PYT sample? or was that intentional????

The hats aren't from the sample, sounds like him and Toomp tried puttin some swing on it, or doin some off kilter stuff without quantizing, but I know what your talkin about. It's intended for the swing though is what I believe

did y'all see how he called timbo to work on a single kick sound in Stronger eventhough the song had already started playing on the radio? i think every single sound (at least drum-wise) sounds the way it sounds intentionally.

there's nothing weird about it.

he just chose an untypical pattern. every 2nd beat in the bar, the hi-hat seems to double or triple up. i think the thought he was creating a better rhythm to fill the pocket created by that wide lazy snare drum. that's my opinion, anyways.

i think the song would have been better with no hi-hats to be honest.

I hate haw raw the snare sounds. I not it was done on purpose but i think it would have sounded better cleaner

I hate haw raw the snare sounds. I not it was done on purpose but i think it would have sounded better cleaneron the whole album his drums have sounded very "weird". i don't know if i like it as a style but i know it works on that album. His drums have always sounded a little "lo-fi" but he took it to a whole other level on this one.
