after every 2,3 lines jayz takes a break on the beat.

He doesnt just flow like before through atleast a whole verse.
he use to be sick and actually finish a verse.

now, He say a couple lines and then just not say nothing for a couple bars and then come back for a couple more lines.

im barely getting into his song thinking like damn jayz can flow and then as soon as i say that he takes a lil break on the beat, and then comes back for 1 or 2 more lines before taking a nother break.

u know what i mean?

How is Jay-Z irrevelant? He's been among the biggest names in hip hop for close to going on 10 years straight now...

Times most influential was impressive... especially when he wasnt in the artist section

on this album his flow is choppy, his delivery is weak and his voice is whiny...

That's just it- he's not.

But as many people harp on how old he is, or how he's supposedly not relevant anymore... and yet, niqqas create 30 threads a day about him... it's just funny to me. If that's irrelevant, I'd love to see what IS relevant.

exactly what im trying to say.
I mean, this albums flow and delivery is 100 times better then kingdom come, but its still not there.

On kingdom come it was exactly what ur were describing but a hundred times worse then this album.

I heard this on more then half the album, but ima give more listens to see if maybe im wrong.

that sh!t is a result of that openmic night i got the tape and reel goin and i'm tryin to figure out how my next couplet will go to the beat.

sh!t is amateurish as hell, and some punch in heavy bullsh!t.

it is a bunch of studio tricks being used from what i hear on this record.

i hope the store bought joint features new takes on certain songs, or better engineering to this particular point or that spot.

I disagree that it was that much worse, it was worse on KC but only a slight improvement on this album in my mind.

*bumps the S. Carter mixtape and wonders wtf happened to Jay's flow/delivery/voice*

the thing is, he has control over it because he switched back to his deep, powerful delivery on Blue Magic. Thats whats most annoying, that he choses to sound whiney...

I mean when the rap industry keeps stealing all your flows... you gotta switch to the stop and go flow.... damn let that b!tch breathe
