I, too, think that singular Nas song is better than everything on American Gangster.

And I'm a Jay fan, as well.

But I co-sign all the threads recently that have discussed the fact that Jay is almost 40 and trying to spit coke rhymes to keep up with the young stars of today...he's playing himself, IMO.

I wouldn't consider myself a Camel stan...lol...I'm a fan of Jay's work and all, but I'm actually a bigger Nas fan.

I've only heard three tracks off AG (two singles and Success), but all three are atleast on par with Surviving the Times if not better to me. The N was a better Nas record than Surviving the Times imo. Also, Still Dreaming and Who Killed It were better, not to mention some other tracks on HHID that don't come to mind right now. To be fair, I was bumping LB's Getback pretty much exclusively when I dled that Nas track so maybe I didn't give it a fair chance.

Nah, it's the one with the sample in the beginning right? What would I do?

It's a solid track but I don't think it was that lyrical and Nas has done the reminiscing about back in the day meeting legends in the rap game track before. It's cooling hearing those stories but it really didn't do much for me this time around. I should get around to listening to that track off the Rush Hour 3 soundtrack tho.
