Sos got a point but at this point man I wish Nas would jus really reach back to everybody he put on. F*ck the beefin this is the greatest duo in history. It jus so happens that they are almost identical in every way. I think thats why Nas tried to distance himself from A as the years went by.

Nas shouldn't have to "reach back" for AZ. They both came in the game at the same time, know the same people, and had the same opportunities. Sugar Hill was a pretty decent hit with crossover appeal but commercially AZ hasn't done anything since. He had some dope albums but never was able to capitalize off them. And I'm sure AZ ain't looking for a hand out so why are his fans looking for him to get one?

the problem with all these rappers is they got too much pride. all these rappers feel they always got to uphold an image or they feel like they too big for other rappers. nobody wants to sit down on some man to man sh!t and just talk. no entourages, no magazines just nas and az. and when the convo is over dont go telling hiphop websites and magazines what was discussed. just leave it as it is. if these niccas was really friends they should be able to do that.
and dont either of these niccas owe the other one anything. both of these dudes got put on because they have talent. nas didnt put AZ on illmatic saying "this album is whats going to blow you up" he put him on there cause he knew how nice AZ was and he probably felt a good vibe when they rhymed together and he was trying to make the best possible album he could. and nas needs to stop acting like AZ needs to get in contact with him first all the time for the same reasons.

One man's success can't carry the responsibility of another man's failures. Not to say Nas couldn't have done more for several artists who he put on but at a certain point you have to say to yourself sometimes its just the way the cookie crumbles. Has any other former death row act duplicated Snoop or Dre's success? Can it be said that either Big's or Pac's crew were a hit? Can Kelly Rowland be successful without Beyonce? The breaks are tough, though talented its harder for artists who always played back up. Who's everyone checking for...the sidekick or the Hero?
