fuccing chump ass nicca talking out the side of his neck...pac was WORSE before he ever got signed, anybody that knew him will tell you that he was always a wild nicca. from shock g, to freddie foxx (a real niccas who's opinon > yours on the subject of 2pac and rap in general) and his lyrics were about nothing? you played yourself duke, nothing you say will be taken seriously from this point on
as for the the thread starter it's aight if you dont feel pac...because his music wasnt for you then, i dont wanna assume about where you were from but maybe you dont have the right background for pacs lyrics to hit home
i had a simular upbringing, moms went to jail, not father, gang bangers were role models...so his music cuts right to the heart of me, he was basically telling the world what i and so many others were going thru as young black males, songs like "i aint easy" were my therapy, ghetto therapy is what best describes pacs music IMO
and to say that he did not have lyrics is to not understand lyricism, songwriting is the KEY component to being a lyricist and pac is the best song writer ever in hip hop, and one of the best in ANY genre, if you cant feel it then you ain't live it...no harm in that, but what i'd like to ask is what material of his have you really LISTENED to? if you gave the bulk of his catalog a REAL listen and still didnt find anything that sticks to your ribs...cant hate on you playa, if you havent heard that much, i'd glady up some of the songs of his that i'd consider "essential"...just trying to offer my help if it's wanted, peace duke
i don't ever see a 2Pac quotables thread anywhere

when is the last time you saw an ice cube quotables thread? the whole "quotable" **** is for the most part a played out "lets think of the most complicated line and post it" contest
pac doesnt have quotable threads as often as lets say a...jadakiss, or an eminem..but that in no way puts them above him because you cant take bits and pieces of pac's poetry and music and single them out, it wont sound right most of the time...he made quotable SONGS, whole songs, songs like changes and wonder if heaven got a ghetto...not just one or two liners of a witty comparison or pun, you young *****s are confused man

If you ain't feel Pac then you may have been a child when he was hot. Or you just mistakenly fell in love with that multi-syllable, big ol word, let's talk as complicated as possible, style of rap.

What's crazy is that if you're really from where you say you are, I can vouch for you. I'm from Terror Town 75th and Kingston. That's why I find it hard to believe that you really don't care for Tupac. But to each his own.
Honestly, who are we to put other people down because they don't like the same artists we like? Even with a legend like Pac... hell there are people that say Lil Wayne is the GOAT, and although I may want to smack them in the back of the head, it just might be possible that SOME artists touch SOME listeners and NO artist touches EVERY listener.
One more thing, the reason why you don't see "Tupac quotables threads" are because we hear them every single day. Every rap song nowadays has a piece of Tupac whether it be his swagger, lyrics, or flow. Hip Hop is Tupac's quotables thread.

iv yet to meet a black man who doesnt like pacs music...not likin it is just an alien concept 2 me
Damn ppl really dont' think that Pac was only elevated to GOAT status because he died at the top of his game. Yeah he had a few minor hits here and there, but it was always the things that had nothing to do with music that kept his name out there during his time. Folks can put the same three songs up there if they want to but Pac was not that hot from '91 to '95 he was basically just another rapper. I would even go as far as to say he was more popular as an actor than a rapper at the time. In his death he has had the biggest rap career ever, but if Eminem had died after MMLP he would be a religion right now.
Not a Pac lover or hater just stating my own personal perspective, he had songs I liked but only on albums I know for sure he intended to come out ecept for the song "I wonder if heaven got a ghetto", Makaveli: Don Kiluminati the 7 day theory" is Pac at his best to me.
