not mixed yet cause i don't have access to monitors. i might add some scratches if someone ends up using it.


Can i get some feedback?

Nice try. I felt the same about most of them. Need more instruments. Sounds like you were using about three instruments/sounds on each one. I can tell you need monitors. The last one "First Beat" actually sounded best of all of them except for you change in the middle. I wasn't feelin' the change but the rest was nice.

Liked what i thought you tried to do with "Chaos". Need to work on the mix and add to it.

Build on what you have (mixing and adding sounds/instruments) and make them unique and you'll be pleasantly surprised with the responses you get then.

yeah, i'm really getting into that interface. this one is all samples though. i like the redrum device. it's really nice for samples.

thanks for the feed back. i get what you mean about not having enough instruments. a lot of it is laziness but i was also counting on some scratches to make up for it. and also i give a lot of beats to my friends for them to spit and i don't want to overpower their lyrics. like i want to compliment their lyrics instead of taking attention away from them. but i still see your point, a couple of more layers wouldn't hurt.

Unfortunately i can't work on any of the other beats cause i made them with FL and for some reason it doesn't run anymore. it's the 4th time this has happen so i just said fukk it and started using Reason.

that's one thing i really need to work on (mixing). honestly i barely know what i'm doing when it comes to mixing. can i have some good strategies/theories on mixing. what are we trying to accomplish exactly and what are some fundamental mixing principles?
