ah... um.. i'll just touch on some basics stuff since i'm sure someone with more expertise will come in
eat more meals... smaller ones though. obviously not junk food
work out... at least 3 days a week... do strength training too (more muscle=burning more calories)

your not gonna get results with a poor diet. anything you do cardio wise is gonna be wasted when you go out afterwards and eat a burger and start drinkin vodka.
drinkin was the hardest, but easiest thing to cut back on. by doing that alone i started to tone up. and sure beer has a decent amount of calories, but any alcohol does.
change your diet (what your eating, and eat more small meals), religiously work out, and keep at it. in my opinion, there is no quick loss/tone up regimine. to loose it and keep it off i think the magic number is 2 lbs a week...

Eat lean proteins (chicken, tuna, turkey)
Eat complex carbohydrates (100% whole wheat bread [make sure your bread doesn't list 'enriched wheat flour' as an ingrediant])
Eat good fats (almonds, natural peanut butter [only ingrediants are peanuts and sometimes salt], salmon, etc)
Stay away from all sugar (anything with more than a few grams of sugar is too much)
Learn to love things like cottage cheese, broccoli, sweet potatoes, salmon, nuts (especially raw walnuts and almonds), NATURAL peanut butter, boneless/skinless chicken breast, etc...

You can shed 2-3 pounds a week by simply replacing all your liquids with water.
You can shed up to 5-6 pounds a week, by drastically changing your diet to smaller (more frequent) meals (5-6 times a day minus the sugar)
The most important factor that people usually forget to mention is: SLEEP, SLEEP, SLEEP
The human body is weird, because even though you are awake, your body will still attempt to shut down. So instead of processing your food for energy, it will store it for later, but the stored energy is not as easy to process as the when it's raw. Getting enough sleep prevents the body's internal clock from shutting down while you are still awake. With enough sleep....your body will proccess energy all day, and even your stored energy will be used. Working out will only help to speed up the process of nature.

Actually no. You just need to reverse your sleep schedule and adapt it to the daytime. Most graveyard workers have a horrible sleep schedule, cause they are so used to doing things as "normal" people do. If you wanna lose that weight, you need to make sure you schedule your day for at least 7 consistant hours of sleep.

7 hours in a row is rough man. I work from 11-7am which means I don't get to bed until about 8:30am. I normally sleep till 12 just because I can't sleep like that during the day. I work out at 3pm, come back home and chill and then TRY to nap from 6:30 - 9:30 and then leave for work at 10. My diet and workout schedule is pretty consistent, but my sleep isn't. My only good sleep comes on my off days, so im only getting normal sleep two days out of the week.

Looks like your option is the increased meal consumption, and water replacement.
