This technology is going to change the business.
It's called SoundLoad and it's a revolutionary technology. http://www.soundloadmusic.com
I'm going to make it short and simple.
1) Instead of using CD's they use plastic cards like a phone card.
2) You design the card and put your site or myspace on the card and order however many cards you want at 35 cent per card (1,000 cards is only $350). If you don't have a bar code they give you one. These bar codes count for you not soundload, so you get the sell not them.
3) You sell the cards to whoever, wherever. They go to your site and redeem the music through a logo that they provide you, just like snocap.
4) When that person downloads you music it's counted as a SOUNDSCAN!
Period. That's it, no gimmicks, no retailers, no other costs.
It's all legit. These cats have a contract with Nielson and have been developing the technology for over a year. The actual program for all of this is patent pending.
So all you cats claiming to push crazy units in the streets, now you can prove it with these cards.
Cut out the middleman and get on this!
Also, if you sign up and order use the ggmc promo code and they will give you 100 cards free.
Feel free to ask me any question you want.

The technology is going to change the game whether people like it or not.

Trust me indy artists are going to have a waaay bigger voice after this.

Especially the ones with dope-ass live shows.

Imagine packaging these with your CD's and putting bonus tracks on the card for download - boom! SoundScan!

I know a cat now who sells out of CD's every time he does a live show in a new place because he's that dope, so this is really going to help this dude.

but how many cats in the streets are gonna buy a card from you and then have to go download it? It'll work with suburban white kids, but not in the hood.

You can also download them to your phone. You just got to give the technology some time. They also said hood cats wouldn't use iTunes either, now everybody and they mom and dad got an iPod.

you could print up cds like usual, and include the card with it. Tell them that by downloading the album w/ the card they will also get some bonus material/instrumentals.

i would need someone to vouch for this here, but it sounds interesting.
