I'm a very objective dude... I don't get on here and post bullsh*t to make niqqas look better or worse- I just post my thoughts on certain things. If Nas makes good sh*t, I'll say he made good sh*t. If it's wack or half-ass, I'ma say it's wack or half-ass. If Jay makes a wack record (which he has) I'll say it's wack. You don't see me up on here talkin' about "all Jay albums were classics", do you? Nope, cause all of 'em aren't. Just like all Nas' sh*t ain't classics.
Look at the thread about 'It Was Written'- I said I didn't feel it was a classic, but I understand why people think it is... I also said he made a lotta wack records during that '96-2000 time period, which he did (but a lot of his fans like to ignore them and act liek they didn't come out)... but I also said he was smart to roll with the times cause otherwise he woulda been left behind. I just call sh*t like I see it.
And "every last one of my classics" is hilarious, cause even HE knows all those albums weren't classic by any means.

where in the quote did nas reffer to "nastradamus" and "i am" as classics?
he said "every last one of my classics".....referring to all of his albums that are given classic status (probably reffering to illmatic, IWW and stillmatic)...not "every last one of my albums...which are all classics"

It's really not even that serious... but I've just noticed that Jay is just about the only person who can't call his own sh*t classic without niqqas accusing him of "forcing it upon people".
I'm a fan of Jay's work moreso than I am of a lot of Nas', but it's nothing to do with the fact that they are Jay-Z and Nas. It has more to do with the actual music itself... the same way I prefer Nas' music to say, Cam's. If you matched those two up, would I be a Nas groupie because I felt Nas' sh8t was better, or would I have the right to opinion to say that? I'm not still caught up in that Jay/Nas battle that ended like 5 years ago... but a lot of people on this board (and the net for that matter) ARE- case in point, this thread's existence.

....jay was like the jada of the mid 90s....wasn't nobody outside of NY checkin for jay until vol. 2....was only gettin burn by a few outside NY with RD, nobody checked for Vol 1, sold his soul for riches on Vol. 2...i'm a Jay fan and I never knew about RD until Vol. 2....besides ain't no n1gga and can't stop the hustle, nobody wasn't checkin for that album...all it took was a void (biggies death) and cats dykridin and jay callin his own shyt classic and nyggas then started callin it a classic...besides blueprint, what else he got is a classic???
