Yeah Em def had a better verse. Brooklyn's finest is questionable because people say that BIG let Jay outshine him because it was his album.

dude, you cant say Big got outrhymed, Big's verse was simply an accapella, put on a track, as Em had a up to date flow, and knew what beat and rhythm to rhyme over

now *****s will diss me...but while i dont call it an official "outshining", em did get biggie on his own song, two points tho

1. big came ill but those verses on dead wrong werent even top 5 of his best verses...up there there

2. big was dead...had he known who em was i believe he would have stepped it up a notch

but the thing is...i dont think big coulda came any harder than that on that beat wether he was alive or not, i still think em woulda stole the show...great ass collabo even if it was posthumous

em hung with pac on "one day at a time" in that same respect tho, peeps sleep on that song

Not even close. Big has never been outshined on a track by anyone. Lyrically Em got murdered on "Dead Wrong" people were just feelin his flow more that's why they say Em outshined Big.

you people can be so clueless
Its a reason you didnt hear that verse when Biggie was alive.
Again its EASY to outrhyme a person on a song that they had no intentions on releasing, and to further my point. Biggie used his lyrics and flow and structure and whole verse to another beat. Em heard this track and wrote to IT.

Along with DMX outshinin Jay on "Money, Cash, Hoes" and Em outshinin Jay on "Renegade".

Em's just puttin sh*t together. That verses relys heavily off his flow it's not more lyrical than the sh*t Biggie was spittin.

Why even bring up Pac into a discussion about spitting dope rhymes? Everyone knows Pac wasn't a dope lyricist.

pac was one of the dopest lyricists ever, lyrcism does not stop with punchlines and metaphors, the main componet of being a lyricist is being able to write SONGS, not jokes in rhyme form...when "punchlines" became the most important thing to lyrcism is the day that hip hop as a whole got worse

pac was a brilliant lyricst, i'm just saying that if we are gonna act like em embarrased biggie or something well he also hung with pac, who was spitting some dope **** also

i still dont think biggie could have got em on that song...but had he been alive to know how ill dude was, he would most likely not have used those verses, he woulda came even nicer than he already did...em had time to sit and make SURE that he at least held his own, let alone steal the show like that against a dead man

clueless about what? did you even read my post? i know all of this already, if biggie were alive and actually knew what em was CAPABLE of, then it would have been a different story and i STILL think em would have done the same thing to big, as he did to jay on renegade...edge out the "win" by flow and wordplay, not content or substance

so i say it's not OFFICIAL, as far as outshining someone goes because those verses were obviously not biggies best work, but technicaly that verse STOLE THE SHOW, but wouldnt call either of bigs verses on that song his better 16's, they were nice tho

see thats why the game is ****ed up because you got cats like this THINKING that punchlines and puns are the end all be all to being an emcee...it does not work like that homie, pac was a GREAT lyricist, a great emcee...as well, just because he didnt over use metaphors and witty jokes does not make him any less of a lyricist

lyr·i·cism (lr-szm)
n.
1.
a. The character or quality of subjectivity and sensuality of expression, especially in the arts.
b. The quality or state of being melodious; melodiousness.
2. An intense outpouring of exuberant emotion.

lyr·i·cist (lr-sst)
n.
A writer of song lyrics. Also called lyrist.

so by your defintion cassidy is a better lyricist or MC than 2pac because he can make a funny comparsion between his jewelry and a pepsi 1 can...da **** outta here man, i guess scarface is a horrendous "MC" too, ice cube wasnt technically skilled either, does that rule him out? you cant POSSIBLY be a great song writer (pac is the greatest song writer in hip hop history) and be a bad lyricst, the two go hand in hand

I mean you dont even seem to understand the concept of advantage and opprotunity here. You take Michael Jordans worst came in his prime(about 13 I think)
and compare it to Kobe's in his prime(about 81)

dog...do i have to say this **** again? i UNDERSTAND, trust me...i know what the situation is which is why when i bring up people that em has outshined (reggie, royce, meth, masta ace ect.) i dont include biggie...those were obviously unreleased verses because they were NOT biggies best, so while em's verse was a show stealer, it was not going up against anywhere near a top 5 biggie verse, thats why in the grand scheme of things we should not count it as official

what else do you want me to say? and nobody is saying biggie looked like a chump, for what it was...em completely destroyed a collabo with a dead man that had NO idea he'd be "competing"...had big known who em was and what he could do with a mic i'm sure he would have WENT IN, and i still think a "renegade" situation would have happened, where em got by on flow and lyrcism rather than substance...i'm not saying this **** again

Stanning at its best.
Biggie would have whooped Em's ass in the studio together
Em had his flow to to cover up for his supreme lack of substance in his rhymes, that has now wained too

stanning...so thats what this is about, we basically saying the same thing yet you want to call me a stan, thats all you can really say

and em DID destroy a collabo with dead man...you can agree with that right? jay-z is by far a better lyricist than biggie smalls (the only thing big had over jay even in the 90's was delivery) and in most peoples opinons em roasted jay...i myself believe that they were pretty EQUAL, jay said some real ish, em spit some clever well constructed ****...i think the same exact situation would have happened with big where some people would want to hand em the "win" based on his technical presentation of the RHYME

how is that stannery? you *****s need a better argument, i'm just saying the reaction to the public would be the same as the jay vs. em situation, if you dont agree then cool, anythings possible, but if i was a stan i would say em wins everything hands down, i have never been on that type of ****

jay and em on renegade = dead even in my eyes...but because of his impressive flow and multi bar presentation people like to give him the edge
