the box set basically makes it a double album, but i'm not paying 80 dollars for that, even for them.

this is basically just a big middle finger to the music industry.
its 80 if you decide to order the entire box set(which wont be shipped till december), but apparently you can just pay literally however much you want for just the download.

the download comes with the box set too though. im definitely gonna cop it, it comes with enough stuff to make it worth the $80.
im still shocked they are doing this, its pretty incredible.

Got damn these fools have done it again.
Loving the direction they've taken. Very melodic and smooth. And guitar driven. "Weird Fishes" reminds me of some early Brian Eno shiit. But Bodysnatchers is my favorite so far.

off of 4 listens i would give it a 7/10. obviously need to listen to it a few more times. but i love the fact that drums are playin a much larger role in the album

Another sublime album.
Been listening to it for 4 straight days, and it keeps getting better. Had sex to it last night, and it enhanced that too.

60 per cent of Radiohead fans paid nothing for In Rainbows
(Wednesday November 07, 2007 12:23 AM)
More than 60 per cent of music fans who were allowed to set a price for downloading Radiohead's new album In Rainbows refused to pay anything.
Of the 38 per cent of fans that paid for it, the majority refused to part with more than GBP2, and only four per cent paid more than GBP6 for the MP3s, according to Internet research group ComScore.
The study shows that in the 29 days after the online release, the Radiohead site received more than 1.2 million visitors - most to download the album.
The survey found U.S. fans were willing to pay more than Radiohead devotees around the rest of the world - 40 per cent of Americans who downloaded the album paid for it, compared to 30 per cent of fans outside the U.S.

meh you know they didn't do it for the money
they forced their label to release their previous album with no promotion what so ever so they obviously don't care about sales(although that album debuted #1)

I think u misinterpreted me.
Radiohead are a great group and Im glad they did something innovative. All im ''LOL' ing about is the cheap bastard fans. I dont care if Radiohead made $1 or $100 billion.
Actually, they probably made £850k ($1.6mil) which goes straight into their pockets, which could actually more money they have ever made stricly OFF an albums sales. With touring, they will make easily a MIL (£) each.

I downloaded it like I do with every album, to make sure it's good before I decide to spend some of my money. . . . but still not listened at the moment, because it was released in such low quality on their site.
Then there would be the thousands checking them out because they have a chance to because it's free.
THANK THE HEAVENS FOR RADIOHEAD SO I CAN HAVE SOMETHING TO LISTEN TO
THAT ALBUM IS near perfect
