but not necessarily a scalding indictment of Christianity itself,or for that matter the KJV of the Bible in general.I just want something examining history during the era of King James,why he pulled certain books,etc...

and since i started this anything on the subject of historical analysis of Christianity&Islam in tandem would be cool....

You need to start all the way 2000 years ago when the first corrupted scriptures were introduced. Look to research of the greek septuagint which was the corrupted version which King James based his translations on. I also recommend getting a book on the 17 ecumenical councils because they are the ones that decided to remove books and add false ones (council of laodicea and council of trent)

then before the King james version was set up there was people like john tyndale that affected the kJV. But to get to the core you need to research of the church of england around the 1600 and also the church of rome. The information you need may be scattered in various books .
