i DO THIS!!!!! Look at my eyes man im crazy. Battle with a sample or just 1 of somebodies sh1ts against mine. I did 8 beats this weekend and not 1 sucks so i got ammo.

no not really I was in another forum where they have beat battles..shyt was dope I was thinking of doin that in the beatclub..

I promised "N0 Thanks" a while back that I would up some beats to the community, but been busy..

You should make a bracket and we could have like a tourney. I'm sure everyone here has enough beats to participate through a couple of rounds already so we don't have to make it stretch out too long. There should be some parameters. Like it should test a Producer's versatility. Sampled beats, non-sampled beats, single type joint, street single etc. Ya dig? Just some thoughts.

I got up to #3 at rocbattle.com a while back but stayin keeping constant battles going all the time to keep my record up was too much work lol
I got a day job and wife and kid so I had to let it go....
Id be up to it here if it I didnt have to have 80 battles going a week lol

Yeah, I was up on ROCbattle for a minute until I realized that **** wasn't worth it. Too many good producers were losing battles too the wackest mutha****as. So basically if you tried to join RB for the first time, you wasn't gonna make it anywhere on them charts unless you were on that site 24/7 like some of them cats was. Dudes were voting for they homies, even if they knew their homeboy's beat was wack compared to his opponents. Seen that **** like 100 times in a week. Lame. :thumbsdow

Exactly why I said it wasn't worth it. I ain't paying them cats to lose all my battles to a bunch of 15 year olds who just found out how to crack Fruity Loops and think everything they drop is the "next big hit". Or a bunch of producer clones at that. Too many cats up there copy other famous producers styles. I wouldn't be surpirised to go over there now and see a bunch of Kanye West clones over there right now trying to add crazy synths over samples and ****. Funny thing alot of them probably think that what Kanye West is doing is right now on his latest album is new or something.

I have to agree, since FL there are alot of overnight beatmakers (they are NOT producers yet many of them).

I'm not hatting on FL, because if it was out 10 years ago we all would have been doing the same thing.

Being fluent on everything from MPC 60-4000 eps16-asr10/x and cubase-reason.. though its easy to get some loops going, FL just sounds too thin for my taste.

BTW, the Kanye "Sound" is really only resampling your samples to 31khz sample rate because this is the default setting in the asr10 (which he uses). If anyone here walked into a record label with any of the beats on Graduation or Common's album that Kanye did, you would get totally disrespected. People need to stop following producers that just so happened to land on the "lucky yellow brick road" to getting on.. At least half of you here now would have a bigger production career than Kanye if only given the proper insperation of a fair shot!

i haven't touched FL a day in my life and i'm kind of glad i didn't cause it stunts alot of dudes creative flow. Some cats do FL some justice though but ALOT of cats........ When you're a producer, you know when somebody is cuttin hella corners and just lettin a program do all the work. Same with Garage band.

I feel you I use ACID and when I first started using it it just a sample pattern and drum and bass with it I still do it just to make a quick beat for a mixtape I might save atrack if I can phukk with it at the next level, but if I know some one wants a beat and is serious about it I'll hook em up but just using a sample and loop it up most of the time you cheating yourself that why I love the monthly sample flip and waiting for teknik to get the beat battles going on(hint hint) because battling yall be getting my game up. :yes:

We could have a bracket of 8 or 16 (depending on how many wanna battle) Feel me? I'll put it on excel or somin, (the bracket).
