I'm @ a plateau with deads at 205x4... today I damn near dropped them at 3 cause I couldn't maintain grip.
What's the best way to build grip????

practice or try a powerlifter grip...thats what I use
one palm facing you and and the other facing the opposite way

do you pop your knuckles?
-Stop using straps and gloves; I highly dislike the use of these things
-Do standing and seated barbell wrist curls... yes with the 45 lb. bar
-Try a different grip; palms out, in, reverse grip... see what works

Yea I've been doing it with both palms in, I'll continue with that to build grip strength and go to the reverse grip when it gets too heavy

lose the straps and gloves and get some chalk......here's are some exercises to build grip strength
1)farmers walk (grab the heaviest dumbbells in the gym and walk around til failure, this will build grip strength)
2)towel pullups/static hang
3)thick bar deadlift (since most gyms don't have thick bars, the easiest way is to do sleeve bar deadlift....the thick handle where the plates are on)
4)plate pinch.....(pinch 2 plates with one hand- lift them up til u drop them, flat surfaces on the outside...this will strengthen the thumbs.....if you can pinch 2 45's, you have high class grip)
p.s......whenever you lift, try and grip the handle as hard as you can...this will increase you lifts by 10% or more
