Like the songwriter I long for you to love me more, proof of your voodou
I wish I knew what future holds for us wish I had some earthly clue
Wish I could stop seeing the beauty of our past floating in orbs of morning dew
You were the songbird caged in my heart I opened the door and away you flew
Will not give gifts of worlds and stars and other things impossible and untrue
I have no money and no title and have not powers too imbue
But from your cage springs love eternal and it springs for only you
