I was 19 and going high strung for
my bread
i was so broke i grew dreads all on
my head
mama told me the way that i was living's
not for the rich
i'm taking these college classes feeling
lower than ****.
some teachers gave me a hint like i would
never get paid.
so it's best that i re-enroll and pray to
God it's okay.
i was working for low-wage and no medical
insurance
so taking trips to the doctor was a rare
visit.
i went through many changes turning women
away
feeling cause i was dead broke they wouldn't
give me the day.
i was born in 88, but 82's on my record
they say ya brain is developing until ya
hit six
so i graduated before the year turned to 06
i woke up one day and got caught up in some

one chicken had insisted that i was a bad man
to the point where I was ****ed with, blah...
The future's to be made, it aint

i'm 25 and live-in off the fact I
have thin hair

she tells me I've been there...
we fighting cancer, diabetes, blood
pressure, there
I went said it, I aint living a
dream
though living is something to be
lived to see what it means
i'm living better today and Jah's
got me all clean
