#1 rapper said I need better content. Well here's one that means a lot to me, about my grandfather's childhood growin up in Kansas City during the Depression when Sicilians were runnin liquor.

The time is the Depression, the place is Kansas City
Crime is the profession, the streets is lookin gritty
The girls is looking pretty but respectably so
Kansas City's the f*ckin ghetto, unexpectedly so
Wouldn't expect you to know, Sicilians enterpirsed liquor
Sons of immigrants findin ways to rise up quicker
Ties were thicker then than they've come to be
And not until recently have I come to see
That back in the day, Sicilians worked till the crack of day
To rise up distributing the crack of their day
A sack of that yay didn't even exist back then
Neither did bars that one could get twisted in
Experimental prohibition of alcohol in place
Didn't stop OGs from takin bottles to the face
Bottles by the case, sold to speak-easys
Bottles like a vase of gold to freak beezies
But be easy I'ma get to the point
My grandfather got involved sellin' sh*t to these joints
At 13 years old just a young juvenile
A product of Catholic school still movin' and provin' wild
This proven child nella cosa nostra
Was diligent because this money was sposed to bolster
His family status, so he wore a smokin holster
If its modern day bangin he close to a west coaster
The rest boasters but he all about his biz
Runnin out about wit kids but without a doubt a whiz
Before cats was shoutin THIZZ he was reppin his heritage
Flexin wit less than a weapon steppin to Americans
He kept his parentses in the dark
While he developed bite to grow wit his tremendous bark
Got used to fightin, movin whiskey in the park
But when his parents found out it tore apart their hearts
They had fled Sicilia for that very reason
So when they pled wit young Philip they were barely teasin
To disobey his parents would be glaring treason
But the liquor was right there and always in season
So he kept bootleggin, he kept loot-takin
If hustlin liquor was a religion he'd shoot pagans
Flute-playin *****es up on his jock
His boots layin out snitches when he up on his block
And up in his glock he kept his bullets in stock
In case he had to drop informants who were full of that talk
A dude pulled it and popped, but the bullet just stopped
Like Neo he's the hero of this beautiful plot
But then the government realized the err of its ways
This symbolized the end of Philip's arrogant days
His parents phased out his past of incriminating moves
And moved to a neighborhood wit less intimidating dudes
The fam's been straight, livin out the hood since then
But sometimes I sit and wonder just what could have been
