***Warning*** This thread is for people capable of expressing logical opinions, not dickriders and haters. This isn't a Kanye West Vs. 50 Cent thread, this is strictly about the album Curtis

Just thought I'd like to comment on 50 Cent's new album Curtis. Not that my opinion is valuable but I thin I'm just stating the obvious here. Really I do not expect this album to be too good at all, and yes I will buy it. When 50 began working on the album he was experiencing writers block, that is a big problem for artists and usually results in a final product. Actually this is exactly my job, I see the problem all the time. My job is in artistic development, I work with young artist and established artists that are struggling with the artistic side of things. When an artist experiences a problem like writers block, they end up working slower, less creativity, and forcing material. Now not only was 50 Cent having creatively but he is also setting aside tracks for his final album, Before I Self Destruct. It's pretty easy to see the problem there, 100% of his best material isn't going into his next album. So 50 Cent goes back to his former home to regain the hunger, to be inspired by the hardships of life growing up before he made his millions and fulfilled his original hunger and living in financially disadvantages circumstances, now I'm not hating by no means (you can check my post history and I have never hated on 50 Cent) but after he goes back to the home he grew up to try to regain that hunger the result is "Straight to the Bank" as the street single. At first the track was decent, but it gets old quickly. Then he came with "Amusement Park", been there done that. "I Get Money" is hot, "Ayo Technology" sounded like a scrapped track from FutureSex/LoveSounds with a few 50 Cent verses (also sounds like a scrapped Timbaland beat). "Fully Loaded Clip" is a hard track, but it's lame. "Follow My Lead" was a good track and "Come & Go" was described as "In da Club Part II" but it's not even on the track listing. So out of the 16 tracks that will be on the album we have already heard 6 of them and 4 of them were wack. That's how I view things, I see all of this as common sense. Anybody have any logical reasons why we should expect something from this album?

Thug-A-Cated, simple question. You know the album isn't gonna be as good as it could or should be. Why support it? 50 needs to realize he has to actually push himself creatively and make quality, innovative music to be respected as an artist. I don't get how someone would buy his album because he dissed Duwayne or something, it doesn't make sense.

I buy a lot of albums, I just listen to a lot of things. It's not really a big deal to me when I buy an album.

Papoose has freestyled over I get Money and copied 50s flow on the entire song.Papoose also just killed a fully loaded clipfreestylewhere he was dissing Uncle Murder. How in the hell can you say Fully loaded clip is LAME??/whne its the hardest joint to come out this year and every rapper and they mother is rapping over the beat including the so called 2 hardest out Styles P and Hell rell

Curtis wilkl be a Classic and Pappso is not dropping in Sept because of 50 whjich is why he is dissing Jive in his new freestyle.Pap and Kayslay choose to fukk with Busta over 50.....you reap what you sew

The beat is hot, the lyrics aren't. How can it be a classic with "Straight to the Bank", "Amusement Park", and "Ayo Technology" on it? Were talking about 50 Cent here, not Pap.

Bang out is a failed single which is generating no buzz what so ever...not even snoop could give it a buzz...its a very boring song.....the fully loaded clip freestyle is the Pap that I know and love the bang out Pap is not a good look.

well for a song that is not hot it sure gets copied by many rappers...flow delivery ETC...did you hear Hell rell and Stack Bundles version.they even copy 50s hook.50 is the best hiphop song writer in the game..you are 100 percent wrong but sept 11 will be the judge of that

all 50 singles have been better than Bang out.no matter how much kayslay trys to push it no one is feeling that song and you know it...which is why Pap has no release date and has no idea how to make a single....what ever happened to get right with Busta.........what about his street single getting GWAP?pap had been trying to create a single for over a year and nothing is generating a buzz.......explain that to me because at least we know 50 is dropping and I get money is the hottest song in BK...greene between Bedford and franklin n1gga holla.G train Classon ave(in front of LG)...B52 down greene

all you just typed was a bunch of your opinions B, lol, what was the point of that? that aint no psycology view or whatever, thats your hater views. you said u heard 6 records and 4 was wack, that shows you a hater off top.
outside of "Amusement Park" everything else is exactly what you'd expect from 50 Cent. if he released "Straight to the Bank" now, now that the people are startin to hate his guts less and less, that sh!t would do what it shoulda did before. Straight to the bank + I Get Money + Fully Loaded Clip + Follow My Lead are all hot, stop lyin to yaself. that Ayo Tech. sh!t is dope too but that aint me, thats for the white chicks.

Which is exactly why I think the album's gonna suck... there's already like 1/2 the album on the radio and it's all on some formulaic, cookie-cutter radio frendly please buy my album Becky and JAne type shyt

I know this isn't supposed to be a Kanye thread... but at least with his albums you get a new sound each time

College Dropout = kinda rough, soulful, very personal
LAte Registration = crisp, more upbeat, more mature
Graduation = a bit more '80s, definitely more polished lyrically, etc.

50s albums are basically collections of singles with like 2-3 GOOD songs thrown in, and then a bunch of filler... it's not made to be listened to, analyzed and enjoyed... it's made just to be bought, which IMO is WACK.

I'm not a hater. We already heard 6 tracks.

1. "Fully Loaded Clip" - Dull
2. "Straight to the Bank" - Decent, but it got boring quickly
3. "Amusement Park" - Wack
4. "Ayo Technology" - Wack
5. "I Get Money" - Hot
6. "Follow My Lead" - Great

Now I liked every single from Get Rich or Die Tryin' and even The Massacre. I liked "We On Some ****", that would have been a good track for the album. I'm no hater, I like a lot of 50 Cent's music.

Saying it's up there with illmatic when we've heard some of the tracks :gag: @ that radio track . . . .. that's dickriding ;)

Wait until you hear it, it may not be Illmatic but it's certainly on that level. Maybe one of the best debuts since then. It's definately over The Blueprint, Stillmatic, and 2001.

Anyway, were not talking about Pap, if you want to talk about that get at me on AIM or something, this is about 50 Cent's album.
