I'm 24 & have been working out on and off since I was 19. Right now, I'm about 235 & I'm 6'2" (not all muscle, of course). Now, I've never even been on protein shakes or anything. I once bought a tub of the 'Whey' joint, but never even used it. The only product I really ingest is Centrum vitamins everyday, lol. I've never been a fan of Creatine or any other shiit, even Animal Pack pills.
I try to eat healthy enough by eating wraps with a lot of turkey, roast beef or ham in them & salads for lunch. I try to eat a lot of protein for dinner with meats & stuff, and lesser carbs (rice...I'm Hispanic)...but iron is in the beans. :) As for breakfast, I eat sandwiches on wheat bread & shiit pretty often. I'm not into junk food or fast food, really.
As for working out, I try to go to the gym at least 3 times a week & I'm always playing softball, basketball or running around on the weekends. And I've always done pushups at home like a jailbird.
Anyway, I've definitely seen results over the years & typically get complitmented on my arms. My body's not where I want it to be though, particular in the abdominal area. But I guess what I'm really trying to find out is: Is it really OK to work out consistently without the intake of any products? I like to consider it being old school...
