weight training? Of course diet plays a huge role and you have to do cardio and weights, but which of these 2 should be the primary focus?

Neither, diet. It's in this order... diet > cardio >>>>> weight

Reducing body fat = rampin up your metabolism & trickin ya body into melting fat

This is done by eating small meals often (tricking your body into thinking it doesn't have to build up fat reserves to store food by supplying it with a constant supply of food) and goin up in protein intake (protein isn't the building block of muscle, carbs are, protein is the hardest macronutrient to digest so digesting it will use more energy and burn fat)

I hope I'm right.

*just made protein brownies*
*will be eating these cardboard brownies till muscles are on point*

Yeah, depends on what kind of shape your in and what your priorities are. I do 20 mins of cardio 3 times a week (treadmill). The benefits towards the heart are undeniable, but as far as fat loss/muscle gain.......

a well rounded full body workout has worked the best for me........I lost too much mass fukking with alot of cardio. I got a big head so it didn't look right  , anyway. I now isolate each muscle group with 3 sets of different workouts. Increase the weight 5 to 10lbs a week and bang out a full body workout 3 days a week..........

on the off days, do your cardio, push ups and sit ups. I don't stress diet too much but, if you a hog just put the bullsheit down and go hard.

You need to focus on all of it. Diet does indeed come first. I am a personal trainer. Without all of them, you will never get ripped. If you truly want to achieve results, watch your diet and work on isolation, weight training exercises on specific days with cardio every day. Check out some of the fitness sites like muscle and fitness for more tips.

I don't think you can build mass while reducing body fat % :(

I hate bulking but it's a necessary evil for getting bigger. I have African metabolism so cutting isn't really a problem for me.

It really depends on what you are trying to accomplish. However, regardless of your weightlifting goals one should always strive to eat healthier. Even if you don't workout much, just try and minimize your intake of fats, sugar, high cholasterol foods in general. Also minimize carbonated drinks(sodas) which come packed with sugar and calories.

I usually tell people that want to start working out. That the first thing they need to really reorganize/change in their daily routine; is to "update" their eating habits. Some folks have touched on this subject already. However, reorganizing your "diet" doesn't necessarely mean that its some monumental task. No. You should start small and then build on it, until you are abit comfortable with better eating habits and have a better understanding of food groups, food ingredients, quantity of ingridients/substances in your food and nutrition in general. So just try, whenever u have time, to do some reading on nutrition (and weightlifting). Theres tons of solid resources out on the net. but like anything, not all information is good information. I believe there's a sticky thread up on the fitness forum with different weightlifting/nutrition resource sites.

The same princeple applies to weightlifting, start small and then build on that small foundation. research information on weightlifting, weight lifting routines, routine structure and so on. This is very important also. And feel free to post questions, concerns, doubts. Folks here(the knowledgable ones-very few) should be able to give you some solid advice regarding ur weightlifting, fitness and nutrition questions.
