With the recent "exposure" of Jay-Z, I respect Jay as an artist but not as a person..

I was a huge fan of jay-z music...but it looks like the more I actually learn about the personal lives of these rappers (no that i expect to be perfect) - but the fact they excluded those who helped them there (for whatever reason) makes me think..."hmmmmmm....ya they only human...but...is there an obligation for a successful artist to take care of those who put them on/get there to were they are?
