View Full Version : Imagine hiphop without 50 Cent. Damn
, that sh*t would be absolutely dead. musically sh*t would still be the same as it is now, which aint too good, but I'm talkin about hiphop's prescense. there'd be no excitement, boring as f**k. 50 Cent is the only current "star" in the game, all you n*ggas know his real name, know where he lives, know his possible celebrity b*tches, know what he's worth, download any and every thing with his name on it no matter if you hate him to death or love him to death, etc... thats a star. who else could you say that sh*t about in the game? i have no clue what t.i.'s/nelly's/etc... name is and if kanye west's real name wasn't kanye west nobody'd know that either. eminem is the only other star and he's a producer now. Jay-Z is 78 years old, he don't count neither. you dudes hate 50 Cent but if he wasn't in the game this forum you postin on would have about 20,000 less threads.

This statement is fallacious
anyway I feel hip-hop is only inspiring with artist like Jay, Kanye, Common, and Nas.
If 50's gone so be it, sh!t won't change to me, it'll still be the same.....
And I think it'll be best for 50 his star power is SLOWLY dying down and he needs to ease back the saturation he had infested in the industry to make pl "miss him more" sort to speak.

nah, hiphop moves so fast that its hard to fall back and make them miss you, it aint like rock and roll or whatever. in rap, if you fall back and chill for a year there's gonna be 25 new 50 Cent's by the time you come back and you gonna be considered "played out". rap fans are like junkies dog, there's no loyalty, if you aint supplyin them that consistent good sh*t or you fall back and chill they aint waitin for you to come back, they goin else where to get they drugs. by the time you come off vacation all ya feens done abandoned you. this is why n*ggas went from droppin albums ever 2-3 years to comin every year, with mixtapes in between. and the artists you listed, if them the only ones that inspire you then thats cool, I love all them, but them dudes aint really built to hold the torch for hiphop. 50 is.

Imagine hiphop without 50 Cent?
You mean imagine a time when hip-hop was more about you're talent and less about how hard you are?
You mean imagine a time when records were sold from the talent of an artist and not by beef?
You mean imagine a time before "Magic Shop" and "Candy Stick" were considered good songs?
Yeah, hip-hop would be dead. :thumbsdow

what are you talkin about son? you lost me. i aint talkin about how big a artist ja rule was, i know he was a star, he sold like 3 million albums twice, he was a big dog. nobody's talkin about that though, lol, where'd you even get that from? i'm talkin about 50 Cent being the most entertaining rapper since Tupac, thats it. ja rule wasn't entertaining like that to the point where he was bein discussed 24/7 everywhere and sh*t like that. why'd you even bring ja rule up in the first place? did you really like him before? i'm bein serious too because I don't know anybody who liked Ja Rule ever, 50 aint really sway nobody's opinion except for the chicks who may have liked him, n*ggas never did. beef is naturally entertaining though so I aint sayin it really takes anything special to be an entertaining as n*gga, but regardless, 50 is that dude right now, Pac was right up there with him in that category.

so you think ja rule was as entertaining as 50 Cent and 2pac? dog, are you serious? i don't know if you black or white but i'm gon assume you black. you mean to tell me that at your barbershop and on ya block and sh*t like that n*ggas was actually discussin ja rule? are you honestly sayin that? what was there to discuss? ask yourself that before you respond B, what the hell was there to discuss about ja rule that would even make him remotely entertaining? "Yo son, you heard that new ja sh*t, that put it on me? yeah n*gga, thats my n*gga right there". 50 Cent is always in the middle of all types of sh*t, just like Pac, that's what i'm talkin about when I say entertaining, he stays in the spotlight and in the media and on everybodys mind, whether its somebody who hates him or its somebody who loves him. i'm gonna assume you didn't understand that though so I won't call you no names or nothin. what i'm talkin about has nothing to do with the music.

Ja Rule & 50 Cent are the same thing, SMH @ you even trying to compare 50 to Pac. Do you know what a carbon copy is? Who the fukk cares what n1ggaz talk about in babershops I cant even believe you are using that as grounds for your argument how old are you, 17? Ja's career was cut short by 50 who copied his whole steez, neither of them are as entertaining as Pac ever was.

LOL, nobody knows. but i'm sure you can answer ALL those questions though if I said 50 Cent. go head any deny it.

dude look at artist like Nelly, Eminem, Alicia Keys, etc. they don't OVERSATURATE the market like 50 did, they come with a cd and then let the fans miss em' so when they next sh!t come out it sells out the ****in roof. Fans like things that are DIFFERENT, when someone's name is CONSISTENTLY put out there it get redundant, tiring, and boring.
That goes for any artist...50 thought that he can always and forever put out material and stay on top and that's not the case...you gotta make fans get a little hungry for your product

50 Cent is the most entertaining rapper bar none
he pushed Styles album back because Jada kept running his mouth
he was the catalyst that led to the Lox begging for their publishing back from Puff on the radio
he still makes money off of Game
he made window shopper/piggy bank
he devastated Ja Rule's career
he made Fat Joe run off the VMAs
he disses the shiitt outta Nas
didn't he punch Lloyd Banks and made him run laps?
when people think of wanksta, they think of Ja Rule
