realisticly homeboy bench press only 3 muscles-chest,triceps,shoulders while
deadlifts involves every muscle in the body which is why people should be able to deadlift more.squatting is a different situation like you said because of your knees ill let you slide.I dont max out but here's my figures after 1 year of bodybuilding.
Bench Press-295lbs for 3 controlled reps
Squat-315lbs for reps, never tried to max out.
Deadlift-365lbs for 3 reps

 @ you letting me "slide". Give me one year of bodybuilding like you and I'll be doing 600+ in deads and squats. I just really focused on both after the 4th of July. My leg strength needs to catch up with the rest. I have big legs but they arent used to working really heavy weight. Also my military press without using any leg momentum is 225x10 on a good day.
I feel better using the **** squat machine for my legs cause it eases the pain and allows me to squat lower.

You likely won't add roughly 400lb to your deadlift after just one year of bodybuilding. I say this because you are disproportionately strong (weak legs, deadlift) and squats/deadlifts are TRUE measures of overall strength. Most people who can bench well have a natural ability to do so (slow/fast switch fiber ratios and whatnot). Very very rarely can someone, regardless of size, put up serious deadlift and squat numbers without putting in serious work in the gym and those two exercises really do separate those people out. clsmooth217 has the right mindset not being too impressed with that someone can bench, regardless of size. Some people here can probably bench more pound for pound. You did say that you are now working on your lower body so that is definitely a plus. Too many cats think it's all about the upper body.

I am looking to add 200lbs. to my deads not 400lbs. I think if I focus more on squats and deads then I can hit my goal. I dont post so someone can be "impressed" and I dont care if someone can bench more pound for pound, I just made this thread to see who's doing what up here. Im not a novice when it comes to weights nor am I an expert, thats why I scroll through these pages to see what I can pick up. Also being that I am 6'6 makes it harder in those 2 areas. Now post your numbers.

the only thing i've ever maxed out on is bench...as recently as 2 weeks ago, i was at 410lb for one rep. It took 10-15 seconds to get it but i finally got it. I don't like to bench with barbells, it can lead to shoulder injuries that some never really recover from. I read your post wrong about the 400lb being added, but i still stand by what i said. adding 200lb to a deadlift when you are already at 4 something with relatively weak legs is a monumental task. As for the other exercises/numbers you listed, i have no idea what my maxes are, but over the years i've done more in every category than you except flat bench.

It's funny, I dont like to incline bench with dumbbells. I feel they can lead to injuries. I just stopped completely with DBs because it feels like my muscle is ripping. Yo, not to seem like I'm whatever, but I did as much as 150lbs. on flat bench DBs but I didnt feel comfortable. Truthfully I got as high as 480lbs. in my prime. But like I said, I started doing a lot of light/medium weight reps and a whole lot of calisthenics which lead me to lose 50lbs. in body weight. My legs have a lot of stamina but for some reason I feel a lot of pain in my knees when I max out and I'm hesitant to add more weight. At times I know I can probably get up 500 on my squats but:eek: I get worried. I noticed a couple of dudes doubting my stats but I know dudes who bench 550+ on the reg. and their deads and squats are doing wild numbers. Oh yeah, all of them are natural too, they just older experienced dudes.

No doubt, everyone has their preferences. I prefer the range of motion I get with them as opposed to using a straight bar. I never have/will max out on squats or deadlifts because a lower back injury is worse than any other I hear and it can become chronic. So I feel you on not wanting to up the weight on squats, especially with knees that already hurt. I only maxed out on bench cause the owner was curious to see what I could do.....but I don't see myself doing that again for years. A lot of that $hit is just for bragging rights anyways and you're already a pretty strong dude.

You probably cannot bench 340lbs.
High reps at a low weight dont correlate very well to 1rm at all. I'm sure if you completely switched up your lifting routine you could hit 340lbs by the end of the year, though.
I dead 400+
I squat 350+

If i cheated on my bench i could probably do more...but i do my 16 reps semi-slowly and controlled with no spotter...i'd say about 2 seconds each rep

Whatup man, nice to see you making great progress in such short time
I dunno my max, but I deadlift 315 for reps although I have done 385 a long time ago for sets of 6....I have a lower back problem so I tend not to try to beast it too much, but deadlifts have helped it strengthen
I know I can stiff leg 315 also
My bench, I dunno, but my flat bench is horrific. I usually use like 105-110 dumbells tho, so I dunno what that is supposed to equate to.
I can curl 135 for 4

Just did 475 on my deads and remained at 425 on squats. Im too scared to go over 425 even though I KNOW I can do much more, my knees hurt way too much to risk it. Aint that important at all. Anyway since I started concentrating on deads I noticed that its getting easier and the weight seems lighter. I tweaked my usual workout just a little. I dont wait until the end of my workout to do deads, I make them them first excercise after my pull ups, dips and push ups warm up. I feel that I can actually lift 500 but I want to be easy and not rush. My overall strength is improving drastically, but for some reason my back feels heavy. Yall done created a monster. Oh, I lost 6 more lbs. now Im down to 264lbs I plan to take a week off from working out after next week.
