It's spring bytches.........................upping

Im up to 535 on my deads 3 reps and max of 585

Maxed out at 515 on squats but I only rep 315 so I wont mess up my knees

Bench is up to 485 max only rep 315 so I wont get too bulky

My weight is down to a steady 243, I look more sleek (think Lebron) thanks

to those pull ups and dips before my weight workout.

Let's get it niqqas! Rep your set!

Bench: 225/230 lbs. 275 max
Squats: 455 lbs.
Dead Lift: 225 lbs. now up to 305
Shoulder Press [Military Style]: 225 lbs.
Curls [Barbell]: 115/120 lbs
i dont really max out, this is just the most i've been able to do
im almost afraid of going to 500 pounds on squats even tho i can bang out 10 reps in the 425/450 range
for shoulders i've been doing more clean and press than smith machine miilitary's..curls im not sure, i've been doing 15-20 reps so i dunno what my max power set would be for that

Mister Discotheque

I haven't maxed out on anything but here's what I do regularly

Bench: 160x8x4
Squat: 245x8x3
Deadlifts: 185-205x8x1
Leg Press: 345x8x3

Main thing for me is DIET, I have to get better at having my protein+creatine shakes daily and eating 4x a day.

I currently weight 201 lbs... Can't remember the last time I maxed out... Don't really bother myself with all that but this is an idea of what I'm working with:

Bench: 335x5
Squat: 345x10

Deadlift: 285x5

yeah, im def. trying to improve on all my lifts

i just started squatting again and im trying to get my bench in the 300's.
im 6'1 200-205, trying to add like 10 pounds and drop my bf%

i got a homeboy thats a bodybuilder (dudes a BEAST, squatting like 700 lbs and shyt) and i use to train with him for a little, but that shyt took up too much time and its not that serious to me.

I used to weight train for years off and on without any real consistency, so when I peaked with weights I would slacked off and not stick to any real weight program and diet. But I have always done my calesthinics REGARDLESS of how much I slacked off with the weights. Pull ups, dips and push ups are a must in my life (no lockdown) So when I decided to get back to weights, it would come natural and quick. But now I got serious with boxing workouts and watching what I eat. I lost a lot of mass and weight but Im more leaner and stronger. My body went from looking like the old Michael Strahan to looking like the new Strahan, thats why I said think Lebron:laugh: I aint saying I look like him but he is 6'8 250 LEAN pounds and I am 6'5 on a good day.

Bench: 205x12 - Not my max.
Squats: 405x10 - Not my max.
Leg press: 810x10 - Won't hold anymore dumbell plates.
Dead lift: 335x2 - That's my all time high, as of this past Thrusday.
Barbell curls: 90x8 - Not my max.
Dumbell curls: 60x10 - Not my max.

I worked out this week, and jotted down all my number, and did it this way so I can come as acurate as I can.
No BS. I'm not going to tell you I'm 13 years old and bench 475 LBS or any of that nonsense.

And sorry if I'm not maxing out, reason why?
Could cause serious injury.
Or, you could simply strain your nerve and drop dead on the ground.
Plus I hate it when I squat cause people always walk up to me and say "just looking at that much weight makes me tired."

P.S.
All work is done with free weights.
Nothing on a Smith Machine.

do you mean 10 reps, 2 sets? fyi its usually written the other way (sets x reps)

or if you are actually doing 10 sets with 2 reps each, stop doing so many sets.

i would start doing 4 reps, 2 sets at 200lbs next week. each week add 5 lbs to the bar, doing at least 3 or 4 reps, and i bet you'll be able to do this for 5 weeks or so.

instead of db flat press, do db incline press. are you doing weighted chest dips? stop doing pushups.

anyway, i also have a hard time increasing my bench press numbers so i feel your pain.

I max out at 275ish bench pressing. Haven't really tried going further but I can hit 275 two times with no help and without it bouncing off my chest. Once I'm done with this semester, it's back to the weight room for me.

Yea I meant 2 sets at 10X
I was doing the +5lbs but it seems I need to gain a little more mass to lift more and I dont want to

push ups arent going to make you stronger, if thats your goal.

yeah, you're going to have to eat if you want to get stronger. so no food = no gains. lookin at your avi i dont see why you wouldnt want to add a few more lbs of lean body mass, though.

How many days a week you lift?

Like andre said the format usually goes (sets) x (reps)

Understand that you chest, triceps, and shoulder are all connected to benching. If you're severely lacking in one (usually triceps) then your numbers will be stagnant. It's generally good to workout triceps and shoulders on the same day. Of course, its not always like this. Different routines call for different exercise layouts.

With that said, 2 sets aint nothing. That's like a warmup and a set. Three is basically the minimum regardless of how many reps you're doing. Trust, 2 sets are good when its like your 3rd chest exercise in a row.

My recipe for success that I picked up through HS and college along with other programs is increasing the weights each set and changing the rep #s each week. Rep numbers would look something like:
Week 1 - 3x10
Week 2 - 3x10,8,6
Week 3 - 3x5 (testing 5x5 currently)
Week 4 - 3x5,3,1 <- Only if I had a spotter, but since I don't like maxing often I usually just skip to Week 1.

As long as you don't expect to be putting up week 3 numbers on week 1 days then this process helps. I'm not telling you how to lift, I'm just giving you an example of how changing it up can help. I've made some pretty big gains with the help of a good diet. Increase the weight each set as long as you can handle it.
