I have high blood pressure but haven't really had any big problems.
I've been working out for a while but never really hit the weights seriously.
(I max out my bench at around 200)
I want to get bigger and stronger but my friend told me it'd be better for me to just maintain my shape because pushing for more will only make my blood pressure go higher. I kinda agree with him but at the same time still have desire to get really ripped.
I'm in fairly good shape, tho.
6'2'' 185lbs, 9.6% bodyfat. never been fat in my life.
I was just born with high BP. genetics is a b1tch i guess.

should I give up getting bigger and go the Lance Armstrong route and keep my body lean?

Any tips on lowering blood pressure would be appreciated, too.

i hate that ****, i work out twice as hard but look half as good as some of these people with perf3ect genetics, but **** it...anyway, if i was in your shoes i would ask a doctor/trainer aboyt that pressure and not my friend who probably dont know **** about ****...plus try to work harder and gain some weight and if you feel bad step back and evaluate the situation
