I hate going to the gym and seeing guys dressed up like they're trying to impress someone. They got their hair done, plaid shorts with a oversized buckle, and designer T's like anyone actually gives a **** how you look when you lift. These are the exact same guys that show up to do two sets of bench presses at ridiculous weights with their boys spotting them all the way through, or they curling OD weight but with retarded form (backs all in the curl and they screaming with each rep even though they only bring their arms half way down). I really don't think they realize the rest of the gym is just laughing at them. I go to the gym to lift, I don't know wtf these homo's are even there for.

Yeah that's as bad as the skinny eminem looking fukkkers in their wifebeaters, swaying like a palm tree in a monsoon trying to hammer curl the 30 pound dumbells............:thumbsdow
Or that fat fukks that insist on doing nothing but curls, I ice grill em like "take your pasty fat ass over to the treadmill!"

while i rarely do curling, i stick to compounds, while im working my back..and i went from 14.75" arms to 16.25" arms in 2 months:king:

TRUUUUTH! The tall skinny cats stay wearing sleeveless shirts, leaning madd close to the mirror and watching their biceps while they curl. Never see 'em doing anything else, just curls.

you're doin it right. you're probably actually burning more calories by hitting the weights then you are by running 2 miles. stick to compound weights and keep your diet in check...you'll look better in no time.
I saw a cat on the squat machine, jumping up and down with 35's on each side. Its amazing to watch these clowns at work. I stop going to the gym and invested in a at home set up. Its love on my pockets and I don't have to wait for some slob to get off the lat machine.
Right.. So you dont care how they look when they're lifting, yet your watching them so much you're actually amused by it... Right...

The strength training isn't my problem, muscle burns more calories blah blah blah, but these cats are flexing and **** when they need to cut haaard.

a compound lift is any lift that forces more then 1 group of muscles to work together in order to complete the lift.
the biggest ones are squats, deadlifts, bench, bb rows, etc.
since they use more muscles, you build more muscle mass when you do them. too many newbies go into the gym and just do isolation exercises (bicep curls, tricep extensions, etc). isolation exercises should be used to supplement compound lifts.
