i won't lie it's hard as hell cos wheat is in every fuking thing! no soy sauce...no beer...etc. but theres a lot of gluten free products on the market now.(Amy's....Luna bars ...wheat free bread...pasta ..etc..) anybody else here eat gulten free? i'm new to this...drop some dope wheat free products pls.

A friend of mine has it and for lent another friend of ours tried the gluten free diet. He lost weight and had more energy then I've ever seen. The food isn't half bad and it's healthy as hell. If you want a real nice meal out of it, Outback has a complete gluten free menu if you ask, and its almost everything on the normal menu.

yeah dining out has prolly been the hardest part of this whole transition for me (cos we eat out a lot). just finding stuff on the menus that's wheat safe. you don't realize how much it's in everything till you can't have it. i've had my fill of Smoothie King and Sushi for lunch\dinner this month. bah!
that's good to know about Outback..

I have psoriasis and pretty much follow a gluten-free diet. There is brown rice everything nowadays (macaroni, tortillas, bread). I don't eat bread but I think there is a brand called Ener-G that make gluten-free breads, although I've read poor reviews. Food For Life make gluten-free breads too, but I think they all contain yeast, which I avoid. I eat wraps now instead of sandwiches. Bob's Red Mill also have an extensive line of GF products, I love their Brown Rice Farina which is a rice porridge. For cereals- I eat Nature's Path Corn Flakes or Nature's Path Crispy Brown Rice. I buy the former in bulk from Amazon. There's also a brand called Erewhon that make GF brown rice porridge and cereal.
Other items that implement nicely in a gluten-free diet: Quinoa (there's a few other grains that are GF, but I mess with the quinoa), Braggs Liquid Aminos (substitute for soy sauce), Nutritional yeast (which is an inactive yeast), and lots of whole foods to choose from like corn, legumes, veggies, nuts.
Good luck.

My boy has gluten free bagels for breakfast every road trip our we go on (soccer) and they taste just like normal bagels as far as the bread goes. I don't know about straight bread though. The cereal is actually good too. That diet definitely works wonders, he's in ridiculous shape and he barely ever eats because he can't.
