View Full Version : is this a good workout plan that ive been following??
im 17 yrs old and my weight about 195 and i want to lose weight. Ive been doing this for about 2 weeks now.
So heres my daily routine.
For Cardio: Every Day
First at around 11 in the morning, i go out and run 2 miles (8 laps around the track)
- for the 8 laps i usually jog the first 2 withought stopping and then for the rest of the laps i walk half and jog the other half.
For strength trainging: every other day. mon, wed, and friday
at around 10 in the night i hit the weights. I just got this bench here.

I do 4 sets of 12 reps in bench presses (100 lbs weight)
then i do around 3 sets of 10 deadlifts
then i put around 40 pound for my legs. I use both of those leg weight things that u see in the bench picture that i posted. i do about
2 sets of 20 reps on the legs.
then i do the butterfly arms that u see on the bench on the sides.
I do around 2 sets of 20 on those.
so is this a good way to start out?

are you just starting to lift weights? On the Bench you should go for 5 Sets of Normal Bench, Decline and Incline, fucc the 4 setter sh1t, 5 Is the minimum
whats up with this 2 sets sh1t? Fucc that man, if ur gonna be serious do more than that, if you really want it you'll go to as much sets as u feel like u need to get where u want
Thats a decent routine. You might want to add forearms, abs, bi's, traps, shoulders and mid back. I try to lightly isolate all muscle groups when starting out. Bodybuilding.com can show you multiple exercise's for each group (too lazy to link). I wouldn't worry too much about the weight, form and consistency is primary. I try to increase the weight of each excercise by 10 lbs. weekly.
The set you have has 80 lbs, might want to get ready to buy more weights.
Dumb bells are good to have too.
Other than that b. Diet!!!......Means a lot (good luck).......low sugar, fat, carbs and bullsheit snacks is a start. I it depends on hard you want to go with the diet thing.
Good Luck to ya!!
