this UGK CD should be a thorn in your side for the rest of 07. Countless disses at you, countless jabs and stabs at the constant hating on the South. And all of this over hard-hitting, countryfied rap tunes. RZA and GZA wouldn't recognize all the funk Pimp C provided on this CD if he slapped em in they geeky azz moufs with a spoon full of it. And they really do rap more about the struggles and downsides of hustling. It should be inspiration for every up coming rapper who wants to find ways to draw heads in w/o lying about they coke prices.
Pimp C really showed his azz to New York on this album.
"Iiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiiii just wanna CELE-BRATE"
This CD damages any comeback NY could've possibly planned. It's sort of like the damage those photos of bloody dead muts will do to Mike Vick's testimony.

I have no clue since Gza never hated on the South or any region for that matter in an interview or on his albums, so how does he pop up? Dude is just targeting someone for no reason it seems in this thread. UGK has no beef with him or the Wu, dude is just hearing a song on there getting hyped and targeting a rap group he hates for some reason. WU Tang >>> UGK still, and lol at dude saying you don't come up with lyrics like this watching Kung Fu movies, Gza's lyrics and Decks alone shyt on these dudes from Wu albums and their first solos alone.

How much records they sell if they are still relevant? BTW what corner are you talking? The South or Houston maybe, not up North man, nobody cares about UGK outside of their region, they were never BIG like that. Wu were huge worldwide, Ugk? What sales they had?

the album you speak of is outstanding, but this thread sucks. Are UGK the ones gettin 24/7 airplay on TV and radio? Nah, they get very little, cause they make real hip hop. It aint a coastal thing, NY is just hating on bullshiit hip hop that gets all the airplay. Even though some of that comes from the east, the majority comes from the south.

man I'm a street nygga bro you know dat...
UGK don't make commercial music... Ball & G..these real southern nyggaz...originators, they early works...especially Ball & G...wasn't no pop shyt on them albums...
they didn't have the alleys to go platinum cuz they never stepped out of they lanes...one of the reasons these two are still respected, generation to generation.
lyrically the only one right now out of these 4 I still feel like got somethin is MJG. but because of how they've played the game, rap will still feed them for years.
UGK, EightBall & MJG...these the nyggaz that started and invented all the slang these nyggaz that's going platinum now AND in the past been usin.
think of how quick Jeezy would've responded if ANOTHER nygga would've made that comment bout the 17.5 shyt. Thats Pimp...thats Texas...thats J Prince...thats respect

I don't know you or if you are a street cat man. I know they don't make commercial music man. Wu did not step out their lane when they went plat on their first LP, that was all their style right there so why the hate for them while upping UGK? UGK and Wu have nothing to do with eachother really, no beef between them or what not. Most of them Wu cats never say a word about the South nor hate, Rza and who Rae did? Not Gza dude stays in his own business. I love MJG and Eightball and I like UGK too man, I never said anything bad about them cats nor what they said about NY hating. I just wanted to know how Gza or whoever was put in this when they didn't have a beef with dude at all? Rza was talking some sh*t I know about, what else is new NY heads always running their mouth about things when they are not on top at the time.
BTW Moufpiece you from Houston right? How you like that Devin The Dude album? I think dude is one of the best out, one of my faves every joint he drops.

im not from ny and i dont listen to any "ny anthem" made after 1998. fact remains youre takin shots at new york when bun and chad obviously have respect for new yorks foundation. its not like g rap and kane are burnin up the charts, they reached out to them. to be honest, as much as i like ugk, kane and g rap are some 45 year old new yorkers, they prolly thought ugk was some rocafella project that got dropped after big pimpin due to contract disputes.

I don't feel like getting into a big ass argument but I gotta speak my piece.
I like both Wu and UGK. This new UGK album is banging.
Having said that, it's crazy as f*ck to call Wu-Tang "nerds", and in the same breath act like UGK are gangsters. 7 out of the 9 members of Wu-Tang are multiple felons, and not over corny sh*t like why Pimp C went to jail.
Just because J. Prince got their back don't make them gangsters....it makes J. Prince a gangster. Let's be real here, Master P had Pimp C tied up in a hotel room not too long ago. I realize they are from your home town but don't exaggerate how gangster they are.

Oh and one more thing. This NY vs. The South sh*t is corny as hell. Real talk most of the U.S. wouldn't know who the f*ck UGK is if Jay-Z (an N.Y. cat) hadn't let them jump on "Big Pimpin". That's not a diss towards UGK, that's just the reality of it.
