Im a rapper/producer, been in the urban music game for about 3 years (around it more than Cool, I have a count of production deals coming up on major as well as indepenent labels.
My work ethic is extreme, I spend a lot of time everyday in the studio either composing, mixing, producing hip hop / rnb / and so on... From these sessions a lot of beats end up buried in my hard drives and never see the light or my main catalogue.
Recently I went through some of those instrumentals and I can guarantee you that 90% were DOPE, and together with the right artist any of those beats could become a potential hit. There are many reasons of why they were not picked by me or the artist I was producing at the moment; some didn't fit the vocals of that specific artist, some were left aside because I started something completely new on the spot (which is very common with my style of producing)...
So I just decided to post some of them on my personal myspace and offer them for $50 non exclusive each.
I dont really promote my page but a few of the people that have seen this dont hesitate on picking a few and making original sh*t.
I got even more, not posted, that Im willing to let you use non-exclusively (mixtapes, demos, promos... yes you can sell your songs and get paid)
I see this as a nice deal for any MC trying to come up, please know that I reserve the right to NOT sell you a track if I think you're not at least at a decent level of rhymin'. Once you think you have your skills sharpened Im down to help you out, one of the best ways to come up on this game is to have originality... yes mixtapes with other ppl beats help but you wont really break new ground until you have your own sh*t... if by chance you start picking a nice buzz with your new original track, I endorse it 100% and I even help push it and find a way to change the non-exclusive to exclusive contract involving big label's money... but until then, let's start from the begining..
