Ive always said that Common took nas' spot as greatest rapper alive right after BE dropped. It was a nice run for nas but he had to hand over that crown.

What you talking about? Boss is relative. Everybody got a boss. Including Hov (LA Reid), Dr. Dre (Jimmy Iovine), Master P (...somebody), and all the other supposed "bosses" in hip hop. Nas is doing his thing and has a record label on the way. More importantly he has a catalog that's top-tier in rap history. Period.

Yeah, I wasn't feeling Hip Hop is Dead or Nastradamus and God's Son had a lot of weakness but still the man has his classics already etched in stone. Give respect where it's due.
