bad brains invented the hardcore genre which means they also had huge influence in thrash metal. a black band is responsible for a portion of all the modern music out there. I take pride in that.

Well to me pure Rock is somebody like Bill Withers or Smokey Robinson and you can tell in the broad appeal of Rhythm and Blues, but I won't get into the Motown type sound. Saying Earth, Wind and Fire is too easy. I dig Carlos Santana, Incubus, Beck, Chemical Brothers, Supreme Beings of Leisure and songs from other less obvious choices like John Mayer and Audioslave ...

Fukk no...back in high school I used to work with this dirtball white dude (who's prolly a meth addict by now) who used to listen to nothing but sh!t like ICP, Kottonmouth Kings, and other assorted white trailer trash rock/rap hybrids...and that sh!t was the absolute worst
