Yo all from NYC please fux with this keep adding to the history!
Just Music
There’s not much that can change my love for hip hop
It’s has been pushed at times when I hear something that doesn’t inspire
From jazz & Blues came rhymes with diversified beats you could dance to or just nod your head
Damn I remember the days at Metropolis in Union Square, Guru killed it when he did live jazzmatazz
Blunts past from friends to strangers there to chill and hear philosophy over a track
Mars was crazy when Nice & Smooth just chilled after a show on the main floor
A lifestyle, a life, 5 boroughs united by rap underground nah just ours thank Russell for that
This is NYC home of rap, the style, the stories, streets of Slick Rick to Method man
How many we gave yall to feel, Jigga, Big, The Wu Clan these ain’t rappers they are revolutionary poets and soldiers, now entrepreneurs livin phat
Real kats you see cause we give respect like to Em who just killed it album after album
West coast handin out sick anthems no disrespect but NYC made yall change from pop fans to hip hop fanatics, even those ignorant racists knew Jigga and BIG lyrics
Nas is something crazy hold NYC on his back with stories mixed with philosophy he spits to show NY got crazy diversity, homie stay lit
Man I’m proud to have birthed In the home of what makes the music hot, next I feel J Ortiz
No comparing but reminds me a bit of Pun’s days, that’s cool man
But through the years I grew up there was no need to fires shots, The Ritz with Puba was the first that should’ve been the last and worst but now there’s murders, what’s up
Yo go back home to the music, just words, express it, no more killings
this ain’t rap this
Is getting out of control, beef should be like LL and Kool Mo did, respectable battle
It wasn’t spits about lies of gangsta phonies and wanna bees that sent rappers to multi platinum
go back listen to what sold millions and then maybe you can at least get gold plaques
Russ where you at, kats need to be reminded of the history behind it what made it famous, what’s RAP
