i would do 1.5 grams per pound of lean body mass. im assuming you're probably 180 or so lean...so 270 grams of protein a day if you're trying to put on muscle.

Yea some where around there. Uppin your calories is the most important thing though, can't build muscle without excess calories. Make sure your drinking enough water to help your Kidneys process the protein though, just a precaution.

plenty of foods in a controlled manner and protein shakes/supplements. Lets say, you are on a solid 6 to 7 meals a day diet. Where you are intaking roughly 200gs of protein from whole foods and about 350 to 400 grams of carbs(carbs to protein ratio should be about 2 to 1). however you keep the fats, cholasterol and sugar intakes as low as possible(and drinking plenty of water to help your body process all this food). The protein shakes, roughly 2 to 3 servings a day, will help make up that extra protein you need to bulk up.

Its very doable, plenty of lifters do this on a regular basis. I have done it before plenty of times and continue doing when Im bulking. Look at it this way, as you bulk your body gets stronger. and hence, your body starts asking for more fuel(food, protein, carbs, some fats too etc). Its as simple as that.

Truth.

One of the biggest reasons behind eating 6+ meals a day is to fit in all the macro nutrients you need. 270 grams is no little amount, but split evenly over 6 meals is rougly 44-45 grams per meal. Certainly not that hard to accomplish.

thats 3,400 calories a day divided over fats and carbs? thats way too much doggie.

if i were you i would eat waayyyyy cleaner then that.

i would probably be doing 500 grams of protein, 300 grams of carbs, and maybe 90 grams of fat. youd probably shed a lot of fat.

generally speaking...protein is protein is protein. the only difference you are going to see is grams of protein per scoop...which would effect value...and the taste.

personally i dont give a fukk what it tastes like...all i care about is getting bang for my buck.

WPI is the highest grade protein available and has the highest absorption rate. The Iso Pure is based largely on that. There is a difference in this type of protein but they all do the same job. It's easier on the stomach and mixes easier than ON 100% actually... price is higher though.

u dont know wtf u talkin about homie

you should NEVER take more protein than carbohydrates

and also, ain't no way no mothafukka gonna take in 500 grams of protein a day, that **** ain't good for your health no matter how much water you drink

i think u just tryin to get mothafkkas to eat bad and fuk up they health cuz urs is fukked

my body fat percentage is average

what are the pros and cons of iso pure

The pros are in abundance... only con is the price and possibly the taste depending on which flavor you go with.

where did you get your certification to be a nutritionist from? cause they need their accreditation revoked.

go to any website and read about caloric splits for people trying to put on lean muscle. most will have a split with the same about of carbs and proteins. some with 10 percent more protein, some with 10 percent more carbs. so what are you eating? you say you get 600 calories from protein. are you getting 800 calories from fat and 2600 calories from carbs? thats 650g of carbs a day. the only people that need 650 carbs a day are marathon runners.

most body builders get 400+ grams of protein every day. granted theyre a lot bigger then your average lifter but you actin like thats unheard of...which is just wrong.

my health isnt "fukked" by any means. i just had some blood work done a few months ago and all my levels were normal. i weigh 190-195lbs...and if your body fat percentage is average that means i have less body fat then you do so i must be doin somethin right.

also...i didnt say you should be eatin 500g of protein a day...i said thats what i'd do if i were eating 4000 calories a day. i only eat like 32-3500 cals a day so i get 300g of protein on average...which is what i would recommend for most people.

there's no way you can take in 300 grams of protein a day unless you eat fukin steak for dinner every fukin day which is almost impossible for someone with an average income

and don't gimme protein shakes or whatever, i only eat real food

smh @ that fukkin whack...dumbass website you're trying to use to support your argument. why dont you quote a website dedicated to strength training or body building like i did? couldnt find one? it would be much more credible then you just throwin out random numbers. did you read the stuff on diet from the website i used earlier?

150 grams a day is great and all and im sure you've seen fine gains from that. if you upped it though you'd probably see more.

i eat eggs for breakfast...tuna for lunch...chicken or beef for dinner everyday. i add shakes but i know guys that dont and still get 300 grams a day. they go thru about 3 dozen eggs and 10 cans of tuna a week though.

all you do is run off at the mouth but you dont provide any facts. how has my health lost?

"Let's suppose you're male, you weigh 190 lbs. and you maintain your weight on 3000 calories per day. To gain weight you’ll need to increase your calories. Makes sense, right? Specifically, you’d need about 3500 per day. Now let’s do the math: 30% of 3500 calories is 1050 calories per day. 1050 calories divided by four calories per gram is 262 grams of protein a day. That’s nearly 1.4 grams of protein per pound of body weight!"

http://www.bodybuilding.com/fun/protein8.htm

"For the purposes of developing muscle, two simple guidelines regarding protein consumption to follow is:

1. Consume a source of high quality complete protein with every meal at frequent intervals approximately two to three hours apart, five to six times per day.
2. Consume a minimum of 1.0 grams to 1.5 grams of protein per pound of body weight daily."
