View Full Version : Am i being counterproductive.

I work out 3 times a day
morning cardio- 40 min treadmill 7am-8am
afternoon- weights-1pm-1.45 pm(light weights, high reps)
evening- 40 min treadmill 5.30-6.15pm
I'm just trynna get real slim/cut.
Currently 5'11 and 220pounds i think.
Diet
AM- Protein shake 30 grams
Noon- Protein shake 30 grams and campbell soup
PM- Protein shake 30 grams
No lie, thats been me for 1 week. I wanna drop 20 more lbs in 4-6 weeks.

3 workouts a day? Why are you not eating anything? Your probally on your way to just being anorexic. How about eating what you are already eating in combination with some chicken, turkey breat, lean ground beef and some complex carbs(sweet potatoe, oats, berries, green veggies etc.)? How about alternating days with weights and cardio or early morning cardio and night time weight training? How about lifting heavy and going hard in the gym? Those how abouts right there will get you where you wanna be but give it a few months. Get ready for next summer it's almost over anyway. I haven't had a real six pack all summer and i'm good.

I'm trynna get real real small round the thighs. I used to do squats and all that mess that built my leg muscles but its killin my bad knee.

I aint trynna add no more body weight as my knee givin out so i really gotta drop mad weight. I'm eatin close to nothin at the moment but im startin to add veggies to my diet and have high protein and veggies(no carbs) as i have carbs to burn, otherwise i'd use creatine again. n see what happens.

Real talk. I need to know if this workouts gon get me there.

My diet
breakfast : 6am-fruit salad or 4 weetbix,skim milk(400ml)
gym:7am treadmill 5km

gym-12noon :treadmill 3km or cycle 45min or 3 km
lunch 1pm - chicken breasts salad or chicken sandwich on brown bread

gym 5pm- unicycle 30 mins
dinner 6 or 7pm - fish or chicken and veggies

Will i lose fat quicker if i do some Toning/Muscle buildin excercises ?

i wouldnt know where to start. your diet and workouts are both pretty shiitty.

your body is probably in starvation mode and I wouldnt be surprised if you passed out and ended up in the hospital real soon from undernourishment.

I'm doing alot of cardio as i figured it would speed up my weight loss
so i can see my results then stay consistent

You really need to eat in regular intervals. Eating breakfast at 6am and then not eating lunch until 1pm is too long of a gap. You're gonna wind up passing the hell out. Try eating something every 3 hours or so.
Plus you're doing too much freaking cardio.

When not eating a main meal, i have some campbells soup or cup a soup.
I'm hoping eating less can train my stomach to expect less food
But i do eat a whole chicken breast or fish and a fist fulla veggies for dinner

how come its acceptable for stars to do 3, 1 hr workouts in a day and eat less to cut weight for movie roles, but i do it and its like im commitin harikiri

1. What stars?
2.These "stars" have money for the best trainers and nutritionists, so theres a specifi method to what they're doing. You're making it up on the fly, and theres likely no way you can match the knowledge and effectiveness that they're getting at the pace ur setting for urself.
3. If ur that serious, find and go on mma forums with actual fighters about how they cut weight before fights. Most guys train about 20 pounds over their fighting weight, and cut in the last week or two.They might have tips on how they eat and workout to achieve it.

if you desperately need quick results, thats my best advice. Tho everyone would tell you the smartest way to do it is proper and over a gradual period of time obviously.

Eating less food less often doesnt train ur stomach to want less, it causes it to go into starvation mode as dude said before, and keeps more of what you eat. When you eat smart and less more often, your metabolism will increase, making your food intake much more efficient - which is going to be key in trying to cut weight that drastically.

Take vitamins, and say your prayers.

Changed my workout
Alternating days, Cario then weights(whole body workout)
Cardio HIIT training for 45 min till i'm almost dead
Weight training, light weights, high reps

Since you cant cut weight and gain mass at the same time
