View Full Version : Is it easier for chubby dudes to get diesel?
Is it easier for chubby dudes to get diesel as compared to a skinny dude? I have skinny friends that have been lifting for years and progress is invisble but i have been lifting for a month and i already feel like the hulk. Is it advisable to take protein supplements like Swole or v-12 turbo for big dudes?
well skinny dudes working out and not making any progress = they eating to little.
if you wanna gain muscle mass its a loose rule that you should eat your body weight in kg times 2 in grams protein daily. so for example if you 70 kg thats 140g protein a day.
and if you're chubby/big that means you already eat allot and probably get all the protein you need daily to gain muscle.
but if you're getting all you need from regular food there's no need to drink protein shakes, its not like those proteins are better then whats in steak/chicken/whatever.

Who told you this?
This is true to an extent, especially if the person lifts regularly or used to at one point. Skinny guys have issues because they simply are not used to eating the amounts needed to gain muscle. Gaining muscle is a lot harder than losing fat however. People can simply cut calories, not do a stitch of exercise and lose weight... but eating too much and not lifting will just make you plump.

Probably easier to burn that weight and gain muscle in the process than starting from scratch.

try 5 lbs a month.
someone with a dedicated diet, legit workout schedule, and a solid sleep schedule COULD put on a pound of muscle a week for quite some time. its not very easy though.
a chubby person has to lose fat and build muscle, all a skinny person has to do is build muscle

they would lose that weight at a faster rate than a skinny person though since most of it water , Chubby people have it easy the number 1 thing they have to face is motivation

Yeah this is true simply because if you're skinny you're most likely an ectomorph and they have a harder time putting on muscle. Big dudes that are endomorphs usually put on muscle alot easier. I'm endo-meso so it's easy for me to put on muscle but true to form of these body types I have a hard time keeping my abs in tact that's why I just abandoned the thought of having real cut abs.
you can't really gain significant amounts of muscle and lose fat at the same time. the two processes are total opposites. you have to decide what you want to do.
a skinny person can jump into bulking and cutting a fat person probably doesn't want to bulk and gain more weight even if some of it is muscle.
this is why its not easy for a chubby person to get cut. they need to lose that body fat to see the muscle as well as the fact that if they want to build more muscle they need to up their calories which will put on more weight.

Wait i thought bigger Muscle cells burn fat more? If you lift weights increase your muscle while doing cardio and watching what you eat , isn't the inevitable result simultaneous muscle growth and weight loss?/

to build muscle you need to up calories and protein. in upping calories you'll pick up fat as well. the more muscle you burn the more fat your body will burn that's why a slim turned bulker can build more muscle and then cut to get their body fat real low.

^^
its all about timing when you eat, you should eat your fats( unsaturated is recommened and a good amount) in the morning plus protein 3 hours prior of lifting, than go lift and eat carbs after up to 6 hours after n the rest protien. i do this and im losing alot of fat but also gaining alot of muscle and strength. most people just eat at the wrong times and not enuff protein stretched out during the day, spreading ur protein 40 g per hr works better than dumping ur body with like 80g per serving which wastes protein.

how many grams of protein are you getting? my damn shake got like 25 per serving and i drink 4 servings in a day. if i'm lucky i get 150 grams a day or so.
yall be going crazy on this protein. i hear cats talkin bout getting 200 grams in a day.

i weigh 193 now, i take around 195-200 G of protien but its not all protien shakes, mine is 24 per serving but i put in 1 3/4 scoops per serving, I divide it with real meals( chicken, eggs, peanut butter). I eat the shakes in between meals but sometimes it a pain in the ass squeezing all those shakes lol but its worth it.
what type of protien do you have?? I buy the 10LB Optimum Nutrition 100% Whey Protien with amino acids for like 60 bucks on Amazon.com, it taste awesome, cheap, and it works real good. and i also take Vitamins, and Flax seed oil and fish oil. i dont take No explode or superpump for some reason it makes me weaker. but it gives me endurance thats about it.
edit: also eat A LOTTTTTT OF FIBERRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRRr REALLL big help.. it helped alot for me to burn fat and speed up my metabolism, cuz eating all the protien slows down your ****. fiber helps everything try it out get like Metamucil or eat beans. lol

Stop it, nowhere did the thread starter say anything about gettin cut. he asked who had it easier when it came to building muscle.
to build muscle you need to up calories and protein. in upping calories you'll pick up fat as well. the more muscle you burn the more fat your body will burn that's why a slim turned bulker can build more muscle and then cut to get their body fat real low.
as long as you're taking in clean food you don't have to worry about picking up too many extra fat calories. i'm assumin you meant the more muscle you "gain" instead of "burn". even so, the last sentence makes no sense.
what must you do to build muscle? up both calories and protein and if a fat person ups calories what will happen?

you leaving out a very important part of that equation......WORKING OUT!!!!
i'm done with this.

to build muscle working out is a given. that's like saying you need light to see you need water to hydrate yourself. all a slim person has to do is start lifting and jump into bulking. a chubby person can do that but they have their own body fat to contend with. as they bulk they're going to pick up more as well.
its just easier for a slim person to jump in and get results. when i was bigger i lifted and i got bulky but i still was fat. i had to stop lifting and dedicate myself to fat loss first by cutting calories. if i was skinny that wouldn't have been an issue.

Why would you stop lifting and concentrate on losing body fat? That makes no sense at all. You can still lift and have a cutting diet. As a matter of fact that would yield results better.
