you drink 2 energy drinks.. you know those gatorade joints thats 150 calories each. was the workout pointless????? cuz technically you've consumed more calories than you burned on the treadmill.

how do you "count" calories. i never got that down.

i don't drink anything but watter but the workout wasn't pointless. it allowed you the flexibility to take in those calories.

had you drunk that and not worked out you'd be in the positive instead of balanced.

worthless? no... but not as effective as it could have been.

counting calories is used for loosing weight, or maintaining weight. there are some websites taht will give you a general idea of what your intake should be (goes by age/weight/how active you are). if you goal is loosing weight, you have to consume less cals than you burn on a daily basis. and yes, you burn calories when you sleep, but the more active you are, the more calories you burn. and the more muscle you have, the more you burn. so the cardio may add some lean muscle, which will help you burn more when doing nothing...

From my understanding, mostly everything you do burns calories. So if you're walking around the office, walking to your car, or just sitting there like a fat blob then you are burning some sort of calories. So when you go to the gym, you're burning additional calories on top of the ones you burnt throughout the day. The goal of course is to burn more calories than you take in. So if you restrict yourself to a 1200 calorie diet or so, go to the gym and add in the calories you burned throughout the day, you want that number to be more than 1200 you took in from food.
on point.

also want to add that your body continues to burn more calories even after you're done exercising.

fukin morons, you eat what you feel you need to eat


and exericse accordingly


say i burned 500 calories on the tredmill


than i go and eat 500 calories worth of cookies


it helped me greatly cuz the body will burn those calories easily and fast while your heart gets benefits from running
