Since this is the book club, I'd thought I would start a thread about getting into the field.

What are some good Black publishers?
What genre are you interested in writing for?
How do you go about getting yourself published?
Should you try and get a book deal?

I'm working on a fantasy novel (with a Black orientation) and would definitely be interested in reading about receptive publishers and agents.
