First off let me state I'm 100% black and I only listen to hip hop and classic soul.

I heard that CRS joint and found out the sample was Thom Yorke's Eraser. Ever since then I been bumpin that song nonstop for 2 days.

Since I'm startin to hate hip hop... put me on to some similar stuff to this. You know mellow ass white boy stuff. Stuff that would probably make me slit my wrists if I wasnt young, black, and fly.

Good lord this song is craaaaaack.

Radiohead's Kid A and Amnesiac. If I'm not wrong, most of the Eraser tracks were outtakes from those two Radiohead albums. (Thom Yorke is Radiohead's frontman.)

I'm about 80% sure you're wrong on that..Staying on topic though, Kid A is trash and amnesiac is worse..Radiohead is my fav band though, but I prefer Hail To The Thief and that new Com Lag Ep, that is if you're gonna cop anything from them..But for now I recommend Dj Shadow's "Endtroducing" and RJD2's first solo joint if u don't already listen to that type of stuff, then move on up to the more "Rock" orientated stuff, and I would stay away from Muse for now.. Just a suggestion, since u said u listen to straight hip-hop..BTW, what was the song/artist that sampled Yorke's "Eraser?...

Kid A and Amnesiac doodie on Hail to the Thief. But regardless of that indisputable fact, they sound a whole hell of a lot more like Eraser than Hail to the Thief.

Also, after a search, I read that at least some of the tracks date back to the Kid A sessions.

is crs an official song?

if so what album/mixtape is it for, and how did they get this sample to clear(actually its not even a sample, its basically the eraser with the verses removed)?

It's on Kanye West's new mixtape "Can't Tell Me Nothin" I dunno if its gonna be on an album. As for clearance, Kanye knows alotta those rock guys so who knows he might be able to clear it.

slap urself.

anyways...
The Bends is probably their most accessible an dpop sounding album. its probably th album you should listen to first
OK Computer is considered to be thir best work, and is one of the best albums of the 90s
Kis A and Amnesiac are much closer to the eraser, theyre kinda electronic spacey albums, alot of ppl think kid a is a classic as well

Of Montreal would be a good band for you to get into. In terms of just pure grooves...there's not much out that's fvcking with them. It's like John Lennon meets David Bowie meets Stereolab meets Portsishead meets J'Davey meets Badu meets Afrikaa Bambaata meets the Talking Heads, or something....lol.

Hissing Fauna...Are You The Destroyer, their most recent record, is amazing.
