View Full Version : The new Pumpkin's anyone?
Heard that new song, cover of some such band, sh*t is pretty good. Interested if anyone else heard any other new songs off the mid-July album that's supposed to come out?
I heard the New song a few days ago got me interested again. 1 of the few rock bands I have actually liked. Once Corgan started playing musical chairs with the line up I lost interest in them. I will check out the new album though.

who's in the band now?? i heard it was just corgan and the drummer. i thought corgan didnt like the drummer, because of that shyt with the touring keyboardist OD'ing on heroin.
Jeff Schroeder on guitar and Ginger Reyes on bass. James Iha and that chcik aren't in the new lineup.
Sidenote: My funeral song is going to be Monkey Gone to heaven by the Pixies. Just started listening to the Pixies like crazy. Love those dudes. lol. But i don't wanna die anytime soon, though.

That's old news though. Chamberlain got clean and rejoined the group, then Corgan broke them all up and started sh!t talking about Iha & Wretzky. They didn't respond so he formed Zwan, then broke them up and called the rest of the band (except for Chamberlain) drug addicts and Lenchantin a slut. Then he made that god awful solo album, then realised he 'needed' the Pumpkins and then offered to reform the band with Iha & Wretzky.
To be honest though, after all the things he said about them it's more than understandable that they might not feel like going through it all again. Still, I'm looking forward to the new album. Hopefully it's less Machina.

yea corgan's an ego maniac. i'd probably get sick of his bullshyt too. i remember him saying that mellon collie album would have the same impact pink floyd's the wall had for a new generation

There were a lot of problems between Corgan & his label before the Pumpkins broke up though. He thought they didn't promote Machina nearly as well as they could have, and he had another album (Machina II) that he wanted to release on the Internet for free but they wouldn't let him do that, so he leaked it through vinyl.
All in all though it looks a lot like Corgan was the problem most of the time. He was uncooperative with Sony (I think that was his label), was a control freak in both the Pumpkins & Zwan and then blamed his sh!tty attitude on everyone else.

Like the other dude said, I probably wouldnt wanna work with Corgan either. Altough one cant deny he pretty much is a musical genious. Not surprising hed be an asshole
