It's hard to analize, which guys is spies
Be advised people, we recognized who lies
It's all in the eyes chico
We read 'em and see 'em for what they are
Theives in undercover cars, takin' my picture like I'm a ****in' star
I'm up to par, my game is in a smash
Stash a million in the stash
Passport with the gas , first name and last
Ask anybody if my men are rowdy
Give me the mini shottie, I body a ***** for a penny probably
Im obligated to anything, if it's crime related
If it shine I'll take it, sill in my prime and I finally made it
I hate the fact that I'm the last addition
Probably stash magician, could of went to college and been a mathmatician
Bad decisions kept me out the game
Now I'm strickly out for cream, doin' things to fiends
I doubt you'll ever dream, my teams the meanest thing you ever seen
Measured by the heavens King, down to the devls mesimean
I never scream so loud, I'm proud to be alive
Most heads died by 25, or catch a quick 3 to 5
So be advised, the streets is full of surprises
It's not what crews the livest, when the survivers who's the wisest

I think lyrically Pun was a little more vicious, but as an overall emcee, Big was still better. Big was a doper story teller by far, had incredible versatility with the flow, impecable delivery...... etc

So overall I give it to Biggie over Pun easy, but strictly from a lyrical stand point Pun was nicer, I bump Capitol Punishment till this day.

Biggie should off himself with his fake ass stories his ugly fat ass. Atleast Pun coulda been talking about sh1t before he got fat. Pun's fast money > Biggies fairy tales.

That is true. The only reality in biggies raps were that he beat and degraded(pi**ed on, sh*t on) women.

overrall pun was better than big.

it's just fat joe, will sell out but at the time of pun's release he wouldn't cross the line to full selloutdom, till;

jose

so in all actuality pun kept more of his cred, while alive.......while biggie actually was helped by his death......to sustain his cred.

which inturn made pun only have two commercial viable singles;

came up
don't wanna be a player, which had to be remixed and re-released to actually unveil the entire project, and delaying it till the return from the remix was a reality.

art barr

pun would have bodied big, imo. any day all week,..........from the time period of their underground before they were signed, to both of their deaths.

pun was always nicer, and more iller than big.

don't believe me, go listen to funk master flex first loud mixtape, and any;

biggie was alive at the same point record, and hear the truth.

It's cool to debate on these two greats........

But some of ya'll are being flat disprespectful with your little punk a$s comments....... show some respect for the dead

Like I said though....... Pun was greater than Big in one and only category, lyrics. Every other quality that makes a great emcee great, Biggie held clearly over Pun. The biggest thing though........

They both released 2 albums before they died..... Biggie had 2 great albums, Pun had one, Yeah Baby! was weak lyrically, and since that was Puns biggest strength, the album didn't offer much. Capitol Pun is one of my fav's of all time though.

I never thought 2 albums was enough too crown anybody Goat, but if cats are gonna do it anyway, Big definitely did more than Pun.

Bigg`s story telling and song writting abilitys is way better then puns. Big Is the complete emcee, he was able to give u a 1# hit, then give you a street banger, which flows on all types of beats, then make a song for the *****s. Pun of the other hand couldnt put together SONGS but was a great emcee, and in my option if he would of lived that would of made his career a lil shorter then biggs would of been.

N!ggas is losin' they fvckin' mind thinkin' that Pun was better than Biggie. I agree that durin' the earlier stages of his career that Pun was better LYRICALLY than BIG (not by a huge margin, though) but Pun loses points because he dropped Yeah Baby - an average album with average lyricism. Pun lyrically on Yeah Baby was a shell of his former self, in my opinion, while Life After Death just showed that Biggie was still the best MC in the game.

mmmmmmmmmmm lyrically is close... Pun was ****ing sick (He got all of his style from Kool G Rap)... but biggie had the song making skill...

the only thing big had on pun was;

the fact puff was able to acquire a weighted industry label deal with clive/arista because of his immediate firing for being a jerk at mca.
a label deal that set a precedent at the time, for rap music even in the
mid 90's.

other than that, if at the time;

fat joe was more than just an interlude on ditc's diamond d's stunt blunts and hiphop. but, if sellin out was not taboo at the moment, fat joe could have easily did what puff did, and he did.......while also maintaining pun's street level cred, and keeping any talks of bein;

a sellout, being echo'd in pun's way. when in all actuality, the relaunch of pun's, i'm not a playa, should have been viewed as a complete sellout move, and it was not and is still not viewed in that light. while big on the other hand, was always taking negatives for even being affiliated with puff. especially when big, and pun were both on the underground level, just big's affiliation with mca's puff was a detractor to his career from the beginning.
but besides that fatjoe was able to do with a record deal what puff succeed in doing with big, and any mca artist with one shot.

while also being more skilled than big.

art barr

what did big do better than pun?

somebody answer the question like they actually listened to, and know all of their material, too.
