WTF........theres been like 10 threads started with dudes trying to play Inet investigator and find out exactly how much of a % 50 owned in the company....dudes trying to see who else owned shares to somehow try and take away from 50's accomplishment......scrolla or whatever his name is...this dude was so mad, im pretty sure he is beefing with the coca cola company for buying tha Product.....be on the look out for the "Da vinci code break down of why coca cola is the devil" thread coming in June......

in other genres of music i could see a reasonable arguement for that. in hiphop success would be more of a reflection of good production and marketing. for example, redman will not outsell richboy this year, but redman has the better album. he just wasnt promoted like richboy was though.

I for one feel like that a artist talent is what gets him in a position to sucseed....yeah i agree redman is a better more talented artist than Rich boy and the Sucsess will be the easiest way to prove that....redman has had a long career of sucsessful music....rich boy will not.

of course it takes a lil luck and timing sometimes...but the talent is what puts you in that situation to sucseed.....

like people always say...without em and dre 50 wouldnt of sold what he sold.........but if it wasnt for 50 talent and hardwork he would of never been in a situation to link up with shady/aftermath

same for Game with 50 cent....people say...he woulda never moved the 5 mill worldwide without 50...whitch is true...but his talent and hustle got him in that situation to be able to get 50 to push him like that....

Thats like saying that Barry Bonds isnt talented because he hits homeruns and has a high slugging percentage.....but Kenny Lofton is talented because he bunts,hits sacs to the left side of the infield and steals bases.....

well maybe i wouldnt narrow talent down to just those 3, but they are definitely an important part of talent. if anything else, flow and delivery are also part of talent. now the difference between pac and 50 is that pac made a lot of meaningful songs, and he delivered his words with a certain passion that no other rapper has really been able to do. bottom line is that you need skills to make good music, but those who are talented usually make timeless music.

same thing with sports, you need skills to be in the league, but talent takes you further. steve kerr, tony kukoc, and luc longley all had skill, but who do people remember most from that team?

Oh no doubt, 50 definitely has a drive and hustle.

But as an artist IMO his work falls flat. He doesn't push the envelope or break any boundaries. He's good at selling records and controversy, but not making music, IMO.
