does anyone have any personal experience with using this product? or know of others who have used it and how it affected them? i'm pretty sure that i'm going to start taking it, because i've heard nothing but AMAZING things from so many people who started taking it.. my friend sees a renowned herbalist who really knows her sh1t who swears by this product.. and says that you could drop all herbs and supplements and take ONLY this 1 acai-based product if necessary.
anyway, i'm giving it a go. i'm only going to pay about $35 or so for the bottle (looks like a cool bottle of wine), and the average dose is only about 2 oz a day or so..
www.monavie.com
edit: i'm paying $30 a bottle, possibly less than that if i decide to order direct or distribute. although, i doubt i'll distribute b/c i hate "selling" anything, i'm not wired to be a seller.

i think ive heard of it... but probably from just reading alittle about acai.
what size is the bottle?
although it does sound good (health-wise, and actually sounds like it'll taste good) id still just try and get all the antioxidants and whatnot through your diet.
edit... you can also try those POM drinks... pomegranate isnt in season anymore (atleast i dont see them in the supermarket anymore), but they are supposed to be another of those "power foods." ive been meaning to try the juice out. also blueberries are supposed to be very beneficial as well.
i think i just picked up a vitamin water that has acai, blueberry and pomegranate in it...

the bottle is 25 ounces and is the size of a (normal) bottle of wine. the recommended serving size is about 2-3 oz a day, so you can do the math on what it would cost to take it reguarly.. however, if what i've heard from so many people turns out to be true, i'll actually be saving money because i'll be able to stop taking other medications, supplements, etc. this sh1t has cured chronic pains for people, fixed their blood pressure so that they can quit taking BP meds, all kinds of crazy sh1t.
i'm psyched. got my bottle today, gonna start my first dose tonight.
and yes, i've had pom before, and other various concentrated juices and stuff packed with antioxidants, but this sh1t is supposed to be literally like a miracle tonic.
coco, you already know i'll let you know. :smoker:

My friend said a firefighter that works with him was on cholesterol meds and it wouldnt go down in points. He started using the juice and he dropped 25 points and I think he lost a total of 45 points of his cholesterol count.

well let us know your thoughts on how it is, and how it tastes (are you supposed to dilute that 2 oz?)
what supplements/meds are you hoping to replace with this? (if its not too personal)

nah, it's cool. and it tastes good, like a concentrated sweet fruit juice, and no you don't dilute it at all, you just take a 1-oz "shot" or 2 a day, lol
i'm hoping to replace all or most of the following:
active women's multivitamin
antidepressant (i will wait on this one until i give the juice some time, and also consult with my doc)
slippery elm
flax oil
green tea
folic acid
vitamin C
omega 3, 6, 9
fiber
these are things i will look to replace soon, like in the first 4-6 weeks if possible.. in time, if this damned berry and the mona vie juice does what i hope it will, i look to possibly replace a few more things like skin care products, etc.
the juice is rich in antioxidants, has all essential fatty acids (omegas), amino acids, complex carbs, all the fiber you need, and much more.

you know what else is rich in all 8 essential amino acids, complex carbs, fiber and much, much more? Regular fruits and vegetables.
Do you know what you just payed 35 bones for?
ah, it's cool. and it tastes good, like a concentrated sweet fruit juice
Allow me to reiterate, lol.

you're misinformed or are misunderstanding the point of the juice, i believe. i am not explaining it well enough in this thread b/c frankly i don't benefit from investing that kind of time (financially, emotionally, or any damn benefits - fukk ya'll you're on your own!). this was a thread to see if anyone else had tried it or heard things about it.
although i will say that i hope you don't take me for some "crazy herbist" type, or for someone who is dumb enough to think there's a quick fix to getting so many vital nutrients in a wonderjuice and that's what this is all about to me, and in general. true getting those nutrients is an added PLUS, but in no way can replace everything you get from eating/drinking certain foods and their juices.

ok did some digging sounds like its worth while
Monavie Juice Active
Since there are many juice products rolling out almost every week because of the rising demand for the popular acai berry from the Amazon rainforest, there would be some questionable juice products. Beware of ordering Monavie if you desire great health but do not want to waste your money.
Acai is the main fruit in Monavie. Here are some of acai's benefits:
# Feel greater stamina
# Improves digestion
# Improves mental focus
# Enhances sleep
# Acai berries have more proteins than one average egg.
# Acai berries have essential minerals like potassium, iron, phosphorus and calcium. Also, Acai has Vitamin B1, Vitamin B2, Vitamin B3, Vitamin C, and Vitamin E.
# Helps improve sexual drive / function
# Acai berries have up to 33 times the Antocyanine as compared to red wine grapes.
# Acai has a high concentration of fibers which is very healthy for the elderly and for anyone experiencing digestive-related problems.
# Acai berries have fatty acids called Omega 6 and Omega 9. Research studies prove that these two fatty acids help maintain healthy cholesterol levels.
# Acai's Anti-Oxidant properties play an important role for maintaining the vascular cardiac system; this in turn is extremely vital for optimal blood circulation.
# Acai is being recognized as one of the richest nutritive fruits on earth.
# Because of the berry's amino acid complex and valuable trace minerals, it contributes to proper muscle regeneration and contractions.
# It cleanses and detoxifies your body.
# It boosts your immune system.
# Fights cancer cells

update after 1 week of use:
YES to this product. def noticing changes w/ me.
began with FIRST day of use and cont'd throughout the week - i am waking up in the morning feeling completely awake and alert (before coffee, mind you, which is no small feat). this has led to me knocking out my cardio in the a.m. before going to work, which in fantastic b/c it's done and out of the way, plus cardio in the a.m. on an empty stomach is the better way to do it anyway.
began with 2nd-3rd day of use - my skin and eyes are brighter and clearer. i noticed it, and 2 people@ work commented on it - people who don't know i am taking this product. "wow you look great, are you using something, doing something different?"
began with 5th-6th day of use - my bowels are functioning perfectly, each movement is clean as a whistle and gives me that super "empty" feeling, where you know everything waste-related in your body that's supposed to come out, is coming out. during my first few days of use, i was gassy and had a bit of that churning bowel feeling, where it feels like your bowels are wanting you to have a movement, but there's nothing to move. depending on how much you eat, you may find you're on the pot more that first week or so.
more to come as i continue to use it... this acai berry juice has def sold itself to me. i'm a happy camper. oprah ain't neva lied (about this, anyway).
edit: apologies to any men reading this who are put off by the explicit comments about my bowel movements. i'm just kiddin like jason, you know.. i don't really poo - ever. :smoker:

Femme, did you buy it directly from their site?
no, i didn't. i think it can cost as much as $40-45 if you buy it direct, but i'm not sure. i bought it from a friend who is distributing it, so i get it at cost.
also, i'm trying it at about 1 oz twice a day instead of 2 oz twice a day. the recommended dose says "1-2 oz twice a day", but if you do the larger dose, 1 bottle only lasts you a week. that's too 'spensive for femmeberly.
cokes, there's probably a way you can get online and find who in your area is distributing it at cost, but i dunno exactly how.. i can ask about it if you want.

i will keep updating this thread, at least on a weekly basis.
ever since oprah, dr. phil, high-profile doc and herbalists, informercials, etc.. acai berry products are popping up all over the place now b/c of all that spotlight and press in the past year or so.. but mona vie juice has a much, much higher % of the berry in their juice than any other product. this is due partially to the fact that the berry grows (in it's completely natural and most potent state) only in a very small area of brazil, and mona vie has purchased the rights to the berry on all that property. the berry can be grown in other areas, but the potency of the berry grown outside it's natual habitat and environment is questionable at best.

CIR/dole - my friend attempted to call you, left you a voicemail i believe. email me if you need her number or anything like that.
my update: into my 4th week using the product. still noting increased energy, digestive system is flowing along with perfection, extremely clean. my skin definitely looks better, and i dunno if this is related but my hair is looking and feeling a bit healthier (i have issues b/c of coloring and heat drying/straightening damage).
i'm told that if you take the product for awhile and then stop suddenly - you really start noticing a deficit in terms of how you feel overall.. so it's one of those things where the effects may not be WOW OMG!, just subtle... and you don't notice how much better you're feeling and operating until it's gone.. which is a good and bad thing, i guess. meh.

That's my concern. It's pretty expensive, so i'm not sure if i'll be able to continue with the juice on a long term. It's probably best if I didn't try it.
But i'm glad you're having success with it.
oh believe me, i'm not happy about the cost. if i had chronic pains or serious health problems, i'd be much more open to taking this long term.. the biggest "miracles" of this juice are related to things like that, the whole healing power thing.
i'm giving it a 6-week go.. i'm tryin to see if i've tapped into the fountain of youth though, b/c if i indeed have, i may continue taking this forever. lol

nope, i slacked off b/c it got too expensive for me -- i had lots of other pressing financial matters that had to take precedence.
i would still recommend it to anyone who could afford to take it consistently, though.

One of my coworkers just started selling this, $40 for regular and $45 for active lifestyle. She's an older lady with all types of ailments and her mother is on her deathbed like every other week (she's always getting calls that her mother is being rushed to the hospital). She said that her neighbor introduced it to her a month ago and since then, her and her mother have been feeling a lot better. I've been messing with acai for a minute now, so I'm thinking about trying it.

so much of the positive word-of-mouth stuff about mona vie comes from the people who are selling it, and involved with the business piece - that's why it's hard to figure out whether it's really that powerful, or if someone is more interested in making money. a lot of people swear by it/use it AND sell it, though.

yea i was wondering. i was reading up some more about some things, saw taht and remembered this from dumb long ago. also, now that the seasons changing, pomegranates are in season, so grab them while you can... i liked them before i realized how beneficial they are...
im about to look into spirulina (sp? basically an algae that is very concentrated, supposed to be a potent supplement like dark leafy greens)
and where are you guys finding acai? is it a supplement, or some sort of a drink? ive seen the vitamin water, but that one tastes like sugar water to me, and in my opinion, its more of a gimmick than being health beneficial...
and what happened to t9e? :( real life > internet?? haha
