Yeah, one suggestion

go to your fortress of solitude where ever that may be. sit down and form a yoga stance. close your eyes and try to find a moment of zen. and after you done that, try to focus alllll your energy in locating which specific part of your brain told you it's beneficial/healthy to eat a single banana for breakfast, nothing for lunch and probably a ricecake for dinner. and finally, this the most important part now, calmy but assuredly grab the sharpest object you can find and stab that part of your brain. repeatedly

you write that down young grasshopper?

Your setting yourself up for failure at this point.

Up it to 6 meals a day, at reduced calories of course. As a rule of thumb eat EVERY 3-4 HOURS. Cut out all processed foods, simple sugars, and soda. Water should be your main source of hydration, don't worry too much about how much your actually drinking at first. Just aim for 20-24 ounces of water with each meal.

Lifting for reps = bad idea while cutting. Your gonna end up losing more muscle than fat in the long run and you'll become very weak. Instead, work on strength with compound lifts. Try using a 5x5 routine for all compound lifts; this allows you to use more weight.

When you lift with a 5x5 routine you force your muscles to maintain strength and mass to support the lifting demands. You may even get stronger using a 5x5 routine if you do it progressively. This means adding 2.5 or 5 lbs. every 1-2 weeks.

Lastly, don't put too much emphasis on Cardio. Cardio is great for fat burning but when your already on a calorie deficit it can be detrimental. Keep it to a minimum, either every off day from lifting or a short session following your lifting session. Nothing more than three times a week though!

Cutting is all about a caloric deficit. Not increasing reps. So since you are cutting as the poster above me has said 5x5 is a good program. But a program that has worked quite well for me is 3x10 where I do a full body workout. I'll post it if you want to see it. That's more so for losing fat.

The 5X5 is smart because of course as you increase strength your size may also grow. And with also being on a calorie deficit but with enough protein to grow and carbs to have energy you will look better. Because as size increases and body fat decreases you will have that cut look.

The 3X10 I like to use is a full body routine. Not really used to increase size but to burn fat and maintain size or even increase it slightly. This routine combines multiple coumpound lifts which work multiple cody parts so that all 3 days you do it you hit multiple body parts. And you can even sub in some exercises for vanity.

Cardio-To lose fat this is important but also keep in mind depending on how much you cut your calories this will also lead you into losing muscle as well (Slightly) But if done on an empty stomach you will notice effects quickly and it ramps up your metabolisim for the whole day.

You can also do cardio after a workout in which will almost immediatly burn fat but keep in mind to keep the sessions to 20-25 minutes after a workout.

But key things to cutting are=Nutrition(Water), Exercise, Cardio

I take it when you say cutting you are referring to not really losing size but getting the dry 6 pack look.

Only cut your calories 300-500 a day. You can play with your carb in take a little but keep your protein to your body weight or higher.

More cardio, eat less, more reps less weight (muscle maintenance essentially)

That is a myth. Doing an extra 5-6 reps won't burn more calories in the long run. You end up cannibalizing your muscles and you begin to lose it. Without enough calories to support those reps you will lose muscle. When it comes to cutting, burning out and getting the pump is not something to aim for.

Mane yall niccas dumb as fukk and don't know shyt past what ya homeboy with decent arms told you. Thread started listen to Big H he the only nicca who knows what he talm bout. The rest of these niccas don't know shyt.

- Decrease your calories gradually

- Eat most of your carbs earlier in the day and taper them down towards the evening. That banana shyt for breakfast would starve a fukkin dog. How about some oats, fruit, and a protein shake. Try to consume whole foods though don't depend on the shakes. Those are meant to supplement not replace diet.

- Stay hydrated 1.5 gallons of water should do it.

- Go on a strength program (i.e. 5x5, west side for skinny bastards etc.). This will keep you strong during a cut. You don't wanna drop the weights and go for reps on a cut because you will get weak as fukk real fast.

- Do regular HIT cardio (it will fukk you up so be ready)

THEN YOU GOOD CUZ

It is so simple. Lower were caloric intake by 300- 500 eat 1-1.5 times your body weight in protein. Keep carb intake moderate. and keeps fats at about 25% of your protein in take.

In all reality just keep what ever workout program you are already doing. And add a couple sessions of cardio, The main thing is. Nutririon, Exercise, and Cardio.

Cardio can be HIIT if you are hurting on time or Steadystate. HIIT Burns more calories thrughout the day but steadystate burns more calories during the actual session.

Get rid of that damn Banana in the morning crap. Now if you were going to go do cardio and just wanted somthing in your stomach ok. But since you want to actually have a breakfast try a strong protein source like chicken breast, or steak and have oats. Oats are a slow burning carb.
