many years have i gazed lusted from afar
lifes crazy games got us twisted so far
I feel some type of way about you my star
the star, i stare and dream about everyday
the star, i envy i wish it was mine someday
i wish this star would fall and land my way
if it were all mine my love would never stray
all i need is the ball and a field to play
for you to notice my love and to look my way
yet all i can do now is dream and pray
